Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode — Sweet Snuggles
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode — Sweet Snuggles
The day started with Baby Poppy and her momma, Grace. Jagger, a male dolphin, swam in soon after, and the three of them enjoyed lots of snacks together.
Then, all of a sudden, a pod that had been hanging around nearby came swimming in with splashes — and I swear, laughs. They rolled around together with such sweetness, snuggling, playing and enjoying each other’s company. They stayed for about 20 minutes before heading off, leaving Grace and Poppy to enjoy a little quiet time together.
About 15 minutes later, Ocean, another male dolphin, swam in and joined Grace and Poppy for redfish for dinner. They both scored whoppers!
Stay tuned for a peek at dinner time...and more tales!
Using history to know how to move forward
WOW! Mother Nature used every crayon in the box this morning, mixing them all together to create a colorful sunrise. Rain on the horizon soaked up the colors and looked almost purple. Of course, the song Purple Rain immediately started playing in my head.
Waves rolled toward shore, sending golden sparkles and spray into the air. The waning moon was bright in the sky, tucked into soft, cozy clouds, while the rising sun brought breathtaking gold to the other side of the light show.
The flock of gulls was large and chatty. One flying in hot looked back and said, “I find it helpful to remember where I’ve come from. It helps illuminate the path forward.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Looking behind can illuminate the path forward

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode — Momma Boop and Puff are back!!
Check out the eye contact with Momma Boop! I haven't seen Momma Boop and Baby Puff since July 11. After spending almost every day with them for months, seven weeks felt like a long time.
Baby Puff is looking so good! You would never know he had a shark bite. If you are just tuning in, and want to know more, in the comments are links to videos sharing his healing journey.
Seeing him healthy, happy and swimming beside Momma Boop made my day.

Care for the planet and explore
Good Morning!
This morning brought an interesting contrast — a rocket heading for space while the flock carried on along the shoreline. I have mixed feelings watching launches.
Most mornings I share the message the wildlife seems to bring, but today’s feels like a blend of their wisdom and my own thoughts. There is something extraordinary about human curiosity, ingenuity and our desire to explore and understand what lies beyond us, while at the same time I can’t help thinking about the impact our exploration can have on the ocean, wildlife and the Earth beneath us.
Then I noticed the gull in the corner, wings stretched upward as if he were reaching toward the sky too. He said, “Keep reaching. Keep learning. Keep wondering. Just don’t forget to care for the world you’re reaching from.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

This is Momma Grace and Baby Poppy grabbing fish in the shallows. Check out the power in Momma Grace’s kick when she takes off after a fish!
Baby Poppy stayed right by her side, only giving Momma a little space when it was time to grab lunch. Then she was right back beside her again.
Still so little, but already learning exactly how dolphin life works.

Release the past
Good Morning!
WOW! The clouds looked like a beautiful city rising along the horizon this morning. Such a perfect day to let your imagination play the cloud game.
Waves rolled toward shore, soaking up the golden sunlight, while the flock headed into the shallows to get squeaky clean.
One gull had a feather sticking out and said, “When my feathers are loose, I know it’s time to let them go. Of course, I had to check this one out after I pulled it — it carried a little piece of my journey with it.”
The rest of the flock enjoyed bath time too, showing off just how beautiful self-care can look. “Look at the ripples our bath makes. You never know who your self-care might inspire. Our ripples travel farther than we know.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

balance between surrender and analysis
This morning feels like a beautiful reflection of the eclipse energy, encouraging balance between analysis and surrender, intellect and instinct, grounding and trust.
The egret seems to know this balance well.
He said,
“Be grounded enough to stay steady.
Be present enough to observe clearly.
Be wise enough to think things through.
And trust yourself enough to move when the moment comes.”
The eclipse reminds us that the way forward may not be choosing one or the other, but learning to move with both.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode: Baby Poppy Is Growing!
Momma Grace and Baby Poppy swam into the lagoon for lunch today!
If you’re just tuning in, Baby Poppy is somewhere around 3–4 weeks old. You can still see the stripes along their body called fetal folds, from being all scrunched up inside Mom. And today, Poppy was even showing us that tiny tongue!
They spent some time nursing before playtime began and the fish chasing started. Baby Poppy kept right up, full of energy — even flying out of the water twice!
After about an hour, a pod of other moms and kiddos came along. Grace and Poppy joined them, and the whole group swam off together.

Flipping fun sunrise
It was an another beautiful overcast blusey start to the day. I thought playful dolphins would be a nice way to start the day.

Generosity and connection
Good Morning!
The morning began in soft shades of blue, calm and quiet along the shoreline. Then the flock arrived, filling the sky with wings and chatter as the sun began to make its appearance.
As it climbed through the clouds, the peaceful blues shifted into fiery shades of orange and gold reflecting on the calm ocean.
After sunrise, there was an intimate sushi breakfast between a gull and pelican. The pelican shared the teeny fish with the gull. They said, "We bring the message of generosity and connection with others. We also know, connection can be found in the simplest of moments.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who came to the EXHALE book signing Saturday!
I’m still taking in the incredible amount of love and support that filled the room.
Seeing so many friends, familiar faces and new faces there to celebrate this book with me meant more than I can say.
Thank you for being part of sending it on its way. I’m so excited to see where it travels, whose hands it finds and what moments of peace it may bring along the way.
EXHALE is officially out in the world!

Shake the bugs off
Good Morning!
A calm and serene morning unfolded along the shoreline today. The sun slipped up between the clouds, casting soft golden light across the ocean.
The flock was extra chatty and frisky before getting serious about their daily bathtime — splashing, dunking and shaking off the little bugs that had hitched a ride.
Pelican Highway floated by southbound while a couple quietly paddled through the morning.
The flock brings us a simple message today, “Sometimes we just need to shake off what’s been bugging us, clear the feathers and begin again with our wing and hearts open.”
EXHALE. Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Quiet moments bring restoration
Good Morning!
Sunrise started out dark and overcast, slowly shifting into shimmering shades of soft pink and silver as the sun rose surrounded by clouds. Dolphins and sharks grabbed breakfast while the flock got squeaky clean along the shoreline.
Today I’m mixing it up, sharing a few sunset photos from last night with Momma Grace and Baby Poppy. The sweet connection between them, surrounded by the quiet golden light of sunset, felt incredibly peaceful.

Color outside the lines….Dance like no-one is watching
WOW! The pink rays of light filling the sky before sunrise were breathtaking! They streamed across the sky and reflected on the wet sand, bringing the vibe of a day filled with possibilities.
The flock flew in extra chatty. When I felt those little feet on my head begin to tap, I knew Fred Astaire the Laughing Gull was back! It’s hard to describe how calming those tiny feet feel.
Fred brings us the message of dancing like no one is watching. He said, “Loosen up! Go ahead and color outside the lines.
Dance, move, play. Movement can shift your brain chemistry and lift your mood.”
The rays remind us there is always light finding its way through, and Fred reminds us to have a little fun while we’re waiting for it.
Wishing you a beautiful ay friends!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode — Teeny Sushi Party!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode — Teeny Sushi Party!
This time of year, the pelicans scoop up schools of teeny tiny fish, and the gulls have figured out how to take full advantage of the buffet — gulls were fighting for a place to stand right on the pelicans to get a little closer to the fish in their pouch!
Not a dolphin around but the pelicans seemed to be doing just fine catching snacks on their own with their synchronized rapid-fire diving.
Apparently, when the lagoon serves tiny fish… everybody gets a seat at the table.

Go Within to feel safe
Good Morning!
Sahara dust gave the morning a pretty-in-pink start, setting a serene vibe for the day. As the sun rose higher, golden light filled the air while the ocean soaked up the color, creating sparkles across the waves.
Fred the Blue Heron strolled along the beach with wings open, completely unfazed by the waves crashing behind him.
Fred brings us the message, “When waves are crashing around me, I go within. A combination of staying grounded in my long skinny legs and dropping into my heart keeps me centered, even when life is rocking around me.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Play in the waves
Sahara sand gave us a hazy pink pre-sunrise, accompanied by a calm ocean soaking up the soft colors. A very loud and chatty flock flew in for our daily bath time.
When the sun came up, the color show shifted to a golden-orange glow, bringing the heat. Waves built as the sun rose, bringing us beautiful art in motion. Movement creates its own kind of beauty.
They remind us, “Waves ebb and flow, some small and some large. Trust the timing of the waves in life, and enjoy playing in the splash zone.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Inspiration is a natural attractor
Good Morning!
Pre-sunrise began with subtle rays of pink streaming into the blue sky, along with a calm ocean and a nice salty breeze.
The sun rose looking extra gorgeous in layers of orange and gold. Pelican Highway was bustling southbound above the waves and brings us today’s message of alignment.
They said, “Keep doing what inspires you. Inspiration is a natural attractor. People, places and things are lining up to support your journey. Trust the flow."
Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Newborn Photoshoot
Momma Grace swam in with her latest calf and stayed for several hours! I said, "Hey Momma, Can we do a photoshoot with the baby?" A few minutes later little one started popping out of the water over and over!
This little one was popping like a popcorn machine, so for now I'm calling the wee one Poppy. Momma Grace was so accommodating swimming by often so I could snap about 600 photos of this little one!
If you are just tuning in, this is her 3rd calf I have met since 2021. I sure hope they come back and give us a gender reveal!
Stay tuned for more tales!
