Tails from the Lagoon ~ Island Life.... Pup Style
Tails from the Lagoon ~ Island Life.... Pup Style
Yesterday I got to see so many dogs living their best life, enjoying the sand and surf. The lagoon isn’t just for dolphins, pelicans, and manatees…some of the best 'tails' come with sandy paws and happy hearts.
And yes — I offer dog photoshoots too, for pups who love the beach as much as we do.

Follow the current
Good Morning Friends!
Before sunrise, Mother Nature painted the morning in soft blues, peach, and pink, while rays of light streamed from behind the clouds like little love notes from the sky.
One cloud stretched across the horizon looking almost like a bird in flight — ethereal, graceful, and moving between worlds.
And then, before the sun fully arrived, an easy-going dolphin surfaced in the calm water, moving slowly and peacefully through the soft light.
He said, “Let the day come to you. No need to push so hard. Float with what feels gentle, follow the current, and trust that ease can carry you farther than effort sometimes can.”
The sun eventually rose behind the clouds, sending golden light across the ocean and reminding us that even when the light is hidden for a moment, it is still rising.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Relax and trust the waves
Good Morning!
The morning was dark and cozy, with a layer of clouds hanging overhead like a soft blanket. Mother Nature reached into her richest color palette, mixing pink, gold, purple, and orange until the sky looked like brand-new Crayon colors.
When I first reached the beach, not a creature was stirring. Eventually, the gulls flew in, while traffic remained very light on Pelican Highway.
A solo pelican glided by and said, “I’m enjoying a ride down the beach, letting the waves carry me with ease. It’s nice to trust the momentum carry me so I can simply enjoy being.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Heart open, trust the pace
Good Morning, friends. On a morning when many will be celebrating, Mother Nature began the day in her own peaceful way.
Thirty minutes before sunrise, pink rays of light streamed across the deep blue sky, reflecting on the wet sand. The flock was already gathered at the edge of the ocean, ready to start the day.
A couple of laughing gulls rose up at the same time, both in hot pursuit of another bird who had scored a fish for breakfast. They said, “Even when you are chasing your goal, keep your heart open to the best outcome.”
After sunrise, a sea turtle glided along, also looking for breakfast. She said, “Move at your own pace. Trust the current….trust you.”
Thank you for leaving only your footprints today, have a safe and happy day!
move with patience, you are loved
Good Morning!
When I reached the beach, rays of pink light were streaming into the sky, and two turtle nests rested at the entrance to the beach. Thank you, Mommas, for trusting us to keep our lights off and care for your babies.
Momma Turtle said, “Some journeys begin quietly in the dark, guided by instinct, trust, and love. Protect what is precious, move with patience, and know the next generation is already carrying light.”
The sun rose from behind the various shapes on the horizon, finally bringing beautiful golden light and warmth to the morning.
A cardinal stopped to play peek-a-boo from behind the leaves.
He said, “Remember to be bold. Sing out loud with courage. I’m also a messenger from your angel loved ones, reminding you they are close and love you so much.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Good Morning Friends!
Every morning, the stillness of first light is filled with a sweet conversation of connection and love from a cardinal couple.
The male stood proudly on the gate, calling into the morning, while his girl answered from the distance. Above them, soft rays of pink light filled the sky as fluffy clouds cozied up beside the full moon.
The sun rose, perfectly teed up on a cloud like a glowing golf ball, bringing orange light and sparkles dancing across the ocean.
The flock of laughing gulls was joined by a solo herring gull, Buddy.
Buddy paused for a quiet moment, soaking in the sunrise, while a laughing gull tucked in for a quick catnap. They said, “The full moon may feel intense, which is why we highly recommend slowing down for a few quiet moments."

Keep rising, you got this!
Rain drops were falling on my head this morning, and with a light shower before sunrise, the air felt fresh, soft, and renewed.
The moon stayed bright in the sky as it lowered toward the horizon, while the sun rose to greet the day. Clouds on the horizon gave us a beautiful streaming light show, and the cloud game invited the imagination to play.
After sunrise, Momma Boop and Baby Puff swam into the lagoon. Baby Puff popped up as if to let us know he is doing well.
Puff, the moon, and the streaming light came together with this reminder. “Healing doesn’t always happen in a straight line.
Sometimes we need the rain to soften us, the moon to nudge us, the light to guide us, and a sweet little dolphin to remind us to keep rising. You got this!”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Sunrise 6.30.26
My apologies for the delayI have been having computer issues….
Rain lingered to the north while the Strawberry Full Moon set as the sun rose to greet the day. The colors were spectacular, blending pinks, oranges, blues, and golds into a dreamy morning.
This moon may be called a micro moon because of its distance from Earth, but it felt no less potent. The man in the moon said, “This moon carries extra sweet energy, supporting you as you harvest what you’ve been sowing. Release the old clutter and step into your next chapter.”
Momma Turtle also came ashore, took her time, and decided this wasn’t the right spot to lay her eggs. She reminds us to trust our intuition, even when it adds more work. Your inner knowing is guiding you every step of the way.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Mom Turtle changed her mind.
Good Morning!
Large storm clouds hung along the horizon this morning, with lightning quietly lighting up the sky before the sun arrived. Even with the energy of the storm offshore, the light breeze and calm ocean made it feel like a peaceful start to the day.
As the sun began to rise, light streamed from behind the clouds, bringing a soft and hopeful feeling to the morning. A flock of gulls gathered for bath time while a few egrets walked through the shallows, searching for breakfast.
The egret brought us the message today, “The ocean current is strong today, but that’s okay. I am fully grounded in my long legs, steady and balanced, so I don’t get knocked over. I am a reminder that even when life’s current feels strong, staying grounded helps us move through it with grace.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Sunrise sushi Party
Wow, what a fun morning!
Mother Nature brought us a huge sunrise sushi party at first light. Pelican Highway came to a full stop as pelicans and gulls gathered for breakfast, grabbing mullet and tiny fish from the calm ocean.
Wet sand reflected the cloud shapes along the horizon, creating the perfect backdrop for all the action. As the sun came up, shapes and “sun people” began to appear, making it another great day for the imagination. What do you see?
The morning brought a wonderful reminder of the sea, the sky, and the wonder all around us — all we have to do is tune in.
The pelicans bring us the message of diving in, riding the waves, and bellying up to the abundance life is offering.
Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Tales From the Lagoon~Episode-Momma Dolphin Knew We Were Filming
This video tells a story of the dolphin who I believe knew we were filming. Watched to the end to see their participation.
In this drone footage, by Brent Eite with Focal Point Videography., Momma Sarabi and her calf appear to swim toward Daniko, as if inviting him into the scene. Daniko gets briefly distracted by a mullet, so Sarabi circles back — and then the three of them swim beautifully close beneath the drone.

Be the peace you want to see, go with ease.
Good Morning!
Mother Nature brought us such a peaceful sunrise this morning, with the ocean so calm it looked more like a lake. The color show was soft and sweet, adding to the soothing feeling of the morning.
Near shore, manatees rolled, snuggled, and swam northbound, reminding us to begin the day with ease, maybe even with a hug.
A pod of dolphins headed southbound, meeting the manatees along the way before continuing their search for breakfast. Pelican Highway was busy too, with traffic moving in both directions.
On my way off the beach, a very chatty mourning dove stopped me in my tracks to say hello. Oh, those soulful eyes. She said, “I am a reminder to be the peace inside yourself that you wish to see in the world.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Sharing space doesn’t mean losing our place
As my feet hit the sand, the calm ocean instantly settled my nervous system. The colors were faint, mostly blue and white, until the sun came up bringing a gold glaze over the ocean and shore.
After sunrise, Spot the egret and a stunning tricolored heron grabbed breakfast together in the mangroves. Check out how beautiful the tricolored heron is when the sun lights up her feathers!
Spot is usually quite territorial and very verbal about his space, but this morning he seemed willing to share the shoreline buffet.
Together, they said, “Sharing space doesn’t mean losing our place, sometimes it simply means trusting the timing, softening our edges, and allowing room for another beautiful presence beside us.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Communication
When I got in the water today, Momma Boop and Baby Puff swam right over saying hello.
I've spent almost every day with these 2 for the past 90 days. I have sent Lil Puff a lot of healing energy and he responds by swimming by or just hanging out. I can feel their echolocation when they send it my way which often elevates my mood. It is truly an honor to know these 2!
Watch the sweet in-unison kick at the start of the video as Momma Boop and baby Puff move together.
Then, Puff swims by underwater first, then Momma Boop glides by, before the two of them come through together — a beautiful little glimpse of mom and baby dolphin quality time.
Filmed in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Explore….see the world from various perspectives
WOW! Mother Nature served up a stunning and soothing sunrise for us this morning. With a calm ocean, soft colors, and the perfect breeze, it felt like a nervous-system-calming landscape to set the tone for the day.
As the sun came up, it appeared as a beautiful striped ball, melting into the ocean before lifting off like a hot air balloon, bringing us warmth and light.
The chatty flock came for sunrise, along with a very curious crab who explored the beach and even wandered near the birds.
Completely unbothered by the flock, the crab said, “The world is big. I highly recommend exploring the vastness. Try going sideways, backwards, and forwards to see life from different views — you won’t be disappointed.”
Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Look how big the world is! Lets explore
Send ripples with self care
Ahhhh, Mother Nature brought us another calm and sweet sunrise with reflections in the tide pool, soft fluffy clouds, and a peaceful ocean. The sun looked like it was melting as it came up big and bright brining us a fresh start.
The flock was larger this morning, all getting squeaky clean in the tide pool. One gull stretched his wings toward the sky, soaking up the sunlight, and said, “We highly recommend daily bath time. Self-care sends ripples out into the world. When we take a moment to cleanse, breathe, and soak up the light, we feel better — and our peace touches everyone around us.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode- 60 Days Post Shark Bite
Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode- 60 Days Post Shark Bite
Today marks 60 days post–shark bite for Puff, the young dolphin calf. This morning after sunrise, I had the pleasure of spending quality time with Puff and his momma. He even swam by close to say hello.
Look how great he is doing! His bite marks look mostly closed, and he had a little more pep in his step. We’ve had a lot of rain lately, which turns the water brown and murky this time of year — not my favorite for photos or video — but Puff’s healing still shines through.
So grateful to see this little one continuing to recover.
Stay tuned for more tales!

Thank you Dads and the Solstice
Mother Nature brought us a peaceful sunrise with a calm ocean and the sun coming up free of clouds, shining bright. The flock of laughing gulls enjoyed bath time in the tide pool while Pelican Highway stopped at several rest stops, grabbing breakfast along the way.
After sunrise, Jagger and Uncle Larry — two of our familiar male dolphins — popped in for a quick bite and to say Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.
Whether you are celebrating the fullness of summer light in the Northern Hemisphere or the quiet turning point of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, the solstice reminds us we are all held in Nature’s rhythm — each season offering its own kind of wisdom.
On this Father’s Day, may that light reach every dad, father figure, and every heart remembering someone special today.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Reflections helps us see ourselves
Ahhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a stunner this morning! The color show and the tide pool reflections created a breathtaking masterpiece, with the sky painting above and below at the same time.
It was also a great day for the cloud game — I see two people flying through the sky. What do you see?
The sun came up looking like a glowing beach ball kissing the ocean good morning. A flock of ibis and laughing gulls used the tide pools for breakfast and bath time, while a solo shark cruised the waves looking for breakfast of his own.
The reflective ibis said, “When the waters are still, we can see more clearly. Reflection helps us notice the beauty above us, beneath us, and within us. Let your imagination stretch, sometimes what we see is more than a cloud, more than a reflection, and exactly the reminder we needed.”
Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!
