Some stories find us when we least expect them.

What began as a deeply personal healing journey evolved into an extraordinary relationship with the wildlife of the Indian River Lagoon—and a body of work centered around healing, wonder, and connection.

As a therapist, award-winning filmmaker, photographer, speaker, and author, Shelley shares stories that bridge emotional healing and the natural world. From dolphins and pelicans to grief, resilience, and human transformation, my work invites people to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover wonder.

Featured Story: Stranded Dolphin Rescue

During a stranded dolphin rescue, Shelley was first to the scene and remained with the distressed month-old dolphin calf, helping keep him calm until rescue teams arrived. Drawing on decades of experience as a therapist and CranioSacral Therapy practitioner, she offered a calm, grounding presence during the experience.

Following the rescue, Shelley joined Amy Kaufeldt on Good Day Orlando to share the story and discuss the role of nervous system regulation, resilience, survival, and the extraordinary teamwork involved in the rescue.

The month-old dolphin calf survived and continues to receive care in a neonatal rehabilitation unit. The story deeply resonated with audiences, with related Facebook posts reaching more than 3 million views.

My Invisible Husband, A Documentary

A Story of Love, Loss & Unexpected Healing

Best Cinematography • People’s Choice Award • Standing Ovation Premiere

What began as a deeply personal journey through grief became an unexpected story of healing, trust, and transformation.

During the pandemic, Shelley Lynch created My Invisible Husband, a documentary inspired by the loss of her husband and the surprising ways connection continued to reveal itself after death. Through storytelling, vulnerability, and beautiful cinematography, the film explores what happens when we allow life to unfold one step at a time rather than forcing the outcome.

At its premiere, the film received a standing ovation and later earned both Best Cinematography and People’s Choice Award, touching audiences through its honesty, humor, heartbreak, and hope.

The experience of creating the film became an unexpected turning point—ultimately leading Shelley toward photography, mindfulness, and her profound connection with the wildlife of the Indian River Lagoon.

Speaking engagements inspired by the film and Shelley’s journey explore themes of healing, resilience, trust, synchronicity, and the wisdom found in letting life unfold organically.
