Using history to know how to move forward

WOW! Mother Nature used every crayon in the box this morning, mixing them all together to create a colorful sunrise. Rain on the horizon soaked up the colors and looked almost purple. Of course, the song Purple Rain immediately started playing in my head.

Waves rolled toward shore, sending golden sparkles and spray into the air. The waning moon was bright in the sky, tucked into soft, cozy clouds, while the rising sun brought breathtaking gold to the other side of the light show.

The flock of gulls was large and chatty. One flying in hot looked back and said, “I find it helpful to remember where I’ve come from. It helps illuminate the path forward.”
