Rainy Day Mom turtle post

Ahhhhhh…

A rainy morning brings a message of trust…

So today, I’m sharing a moment from another day.

The morning unfolds one moment at a time,

guided by something steady and unseen.

In the distance, the lighthouse stands…

simply holding its place…

illuminating the path when it’s needed most.

There’s a rhythm to it…

a quiet knowing of when to move,

and when to wait.

A little glimpse of something that’s been unfolding…

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Soft is powerful

Ahhhhhh…

A glimpse into stillness…

Clouds softened the sky,

the ocean slowed,

and the morning unfolded gently.

An osprey rose with a fish…

effortless, certain.

Soft doesn’t mean less.

Today's post....a glimpse into something I’ve been working on…

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode: Gender Reveal!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode: Gender Reveal!

Today felt like a full-on lagoon party…

It began with sweet, quality time with Momma Boop and Baby Puff, joined by a dozen pelicans keeping things lively. After a few hours, the boys arrived—Cutter, Charley, Ocean, Whisper, and several others—bringing a whole new level of energy to the water.

Soon after, more moms and calves joined in, and Baby Puff was thrilled to have a little playmate.

And then… the moment.

Baby Puff popped up just long enough to give us a view of his belly—

It’s a boy!

For those who are curious, males have one long slit with a smaller slit above it (like an exclamation point), while females have a longer slit with two smaller slits on either side (more like a division sign).

Puff earned his name after two days of pure joy playing with a puffer fish… and just like his mom, he already loves giving playful “boops” to the birds.

In this series, he’s chasing a cormorant for a little boop of his own…. Let’s just say the cormorant was not nearly as amused as Puff.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Sharing an Interview

was recently interviewed by CanvasRebel, and it gave me a chance to reflect on how this journey began… from loss, to a dream, to finding healing in the lagoon.

At the time, I described what I was creating as a “coffee table book”…. But as it’s come together, I’ve realized it’s something a little different. It’s become a visual meditation… a gentle journey through nature… an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.

I’ll be sharing more of it soon

If you’d like to read the story behind it, I’ve linked the article below.

Alignment comes from presence

Good Morning!

The moon was high in the sky as I walked to the beach, the aroma of seaweed mixing with the salty breeze.

As the sun rose, it brought a golden glow, with sparkles dancing across the ocean.

Later, the moon slowly set over the Indian River… while a pod of dolphins, Momma Bump and her calf, along with Birdie, enjoyed snuggles and snacks.

A happy accident… a plane passing across the face of the moon, captured in a single moment.... gentle reminder of how being present allows alignment to unfold naturally.

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Wild Wildlife

Yesterday the lagoon was wild!

The mom dolphins and their kiddos were grabbing lunch while the kiddos joined mom or snuggled amongst themselves. Baby Puff upped his bird chasing game to include cormorants. Stay tuned for that episode!

At one point the shenanigans stopped while a manatee sauntered through….as soon as he was passed the fish chase began.

The first 2 photos you’ll see a mullet high in the air. Momma Sarabi tossed a mullet up super high and watched the pelicans duke it out for the fish.

The osprey gave me the look, “Hey, you’re standing in a school of fish, can you move over.”

Never a dull moment!

Stay tuned for more tales!

Reciprocal Relationships

Good Morning!

The full moon slowly set as the sun rose to greet the day… a powerful exchange of energy, reminding us of the natural rhythm of letting go and beginning again.

With just a few gulls remaining and seaweed lining the shore, we can feel the quiet transition… the flock making way for turtle season. Change is already unfolding.

The dolphins were close this morning—grabbing breakfast, snuggling, moving together with ease.

Alongside the moon, they bring us this message, "Release what no longer supports you… and make space for relationships that are reciprocal, nourishing, and aligned."

"Let this full moon help you shed what feels heavy,

so you can move forward in harmony—with yourself and with others."

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Moon assists with shedding to find balance

Ahhhhh… what a beautiful morning.

The moon setting over the Indian River while the sun rose to greet the day… pure magic.

This full moon brings a message of balance—within ourselves and in our relationships. The Man in the Moon brings us the message, “Use my energy to shed what no longer serves you, creating space for fresh energy and more harmonious, symbiotic connections.”

The light show was spectacular… golden rays streaming from behind the clouds, illuminating the horizon like a quiet promise.

A dove on the boardwalk came close, wanting to connect, and said, “I am the messenger of love and nurturing. If the energy feels intense, bring your awareness to your heart… and meet yourself with compassion.”

Wishing you a beautiful friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - TAG! You’re it!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - TAG! You’re it!

Momma Boop who I met May 2025 when she would swim under the pelicans and give them a boop from beneath. I didn’t know she was a female until this year when she showed up with her little one.

If you tuned into the puffer fish episode, this is her calf—the same baby who was playing with the fish before a pelican swooped in and stole it.

I’m calling the baby Puff, sometimes I call him Baby Boop. I think he’s a male but I haven’t seen the belly to have confirmation yet.

As you can see from the photos, like Mom, like baby.

I shared this video recently, if you are just tuning in, this shows Momma Boop teasing the pelicans.

See strength where you once say struggle

Thick salty fog enveloped the shoreline, giving us a cozy start to the day. The ocean was churning as the sun rose—looking a bit messy at first before shaking off the clouds and shining bright.

The flock was ready for bathtime while the osprey lined up like a busy airport, bringing a message today. One of them gave herself a good shake and said,

“Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from changing your direction, but from shaking off what you’ve been carrying.

Look at your life from a different angle,

and you may see strength where you once saw struggle.”

rest is movement

Good Morning! My body requested the morning off from sunrise. Just like the birds know, rest is part of the natural rhythm too.

Even the flock pauses between flights… trusting the timing of when to soar and when to be still.

Today, I’m listening. Honoring my body's wisdom, trusting how things are aligning and knowing rest is a way of stepping forward.

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Sweetest Drone of Baby Dolphins

Brent Eite with Focal Point Videography captured the moms and kiddos enjoying quality time. Momma Sarabi is in the deep end with Baby Sarafina who was born around Memorial Day 2025. Boop Mom who likes to boop the pelicans and her calf I'm calling Puff because he enjoys playing with the puffer fish are closer to me. Puff is younger than Sarafina, but I am not sure when s/he was born.

Sweetness shifts your mood

Good Morning

Mother Nature brought us a sweet, snuggly kind of sunrise…

wrapped in soft pink hues and a calm ocean that gently soothed the nervous system.

Before the sun rose, a few dolphins moved quietly southbound in the distance, while the flock arrived with the zoomies — darting off and circling back in playful bursts of energy.

After sunrise, Momma Sarabi and baby Sarafina, along with Momma Boop and baby Puffer (yes… the little one who played with the puffer fish ), were in the lagoon nursing and snuggling.

And sure enough… baby Puffer found another puffer fish again.

The same pelican scooped it up — and this time… spit it out much quicker

Cutter and Charley, a couple of the boys, joined the moms and little ones for breakfast, rounding out this beautiful morning of connection.

The sweetness of these moments…

a gentle reminder of the power of closeness, comfort, and simply being together.

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

be Bold!

With a light layer of salty fog and a calm ocean, the morning felt serene and beautiful. Perfect waves rolled toward shore, calling the surfers to come play.

The flock flew in with extra energy today, darting back and forth with the zoomies. Pelican Highway traffic was light, heading northbound with a gentle assist from the waves.

A male cardinal was quite chatty on the walk off the beach. After giving himself a really good shake—the kind that makes everything feel better—he said, “I am here to encourage you to be bold. Now is the time to recognize your strengths and step forward.""

I’m also a bridge messenger, reminding you that an angel loved one is near, offering you support.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Puffer Fish Fun!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Puffer Fish Fun!

Boop Mom’s kiddo who I’m calling Zippy spent the day playing with a leaf then switched to a puffer fish! My first time seeing a puffer fish in the lagoon.

A young pelican was hanging close to the baby and fish. After about 15 minutes, the pelican stole the puffer fish and proceeded to toss it around in his gullet for a while. I said, “Puppy, I don’t think you should eat that….” He eventually spit it out.

Then a bald eagle flew in seeing the floating puffer fish, started to dive but must have figured out it was a puffer fish because the regal bird pulled up and kept flying. Then the baby dolphin swam over gave the pelican a boop and picked up the fish for more play time. Wild times in the lagoon!

If you want more dolphin fun, I have extended videos, behind the scenes and the occasional sunrise meditation on my Patreon Page. Just $8 a month. https://www.patreon.com/c/Shelleylynchphotography

PS~. I took sunrise photos but rain out of time to edit, so instead you will get to see a lot of baby dolphin photos. :)

The baby dolphin started with the puffer fish for about 15-20 minutes then….

An immature pelican stole it!

And was so hungry didn’t mind the taste of it.

This is a different pelican with the baby feeling groovy after the puffer fish

Eagle coming in to look at floating fish - quickly said no thank you - The video is the pelican with the puffer fish, then you’ll see there is a 2nd puffer fish! And another pelican picks it up and quickly spits it out!

Waves are multi purposeful

Oh, how I love this time of year—beautiful spring colors, a calm ocean, and perfect waves. I was met by the flock when I arrived, as we watched the sky turn from pink to gold.

Waves rolled toward shore, soaking up the light show, calling the wildlife to come play. Several pods of dolphins were enjoying the morning. One pod stayed close to shore, letting the waves pass, while a cormorant used a wave to surf.

The waves bring a message: “Sometimes they carry you forward; other times, they offer a gentle rise—giving you clarity to see beyond them. Either way, they encourage you to use the energy. And if there is a lull between waves, trust that those moments are purposeful too.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
