Play can lighten your mood
With the smell of rain in the air, a gentle breeze and low tide, Mother Nature gave a soothing sunrise. The salty, moist air felt good in my lungs as I took in the reflection on the wet sand.
The floc of seagulls flew in at their usual time for some close connection, chat and bath time. Pelican Highway was flying on the horizon in front he of the big sun that looked like it was getting squeezed between the clouds and ocean.
A couple dolphin friends and a cormorant stopped by the lagoon after sunrise. Just as the rain started, a dolphin tossed up the first cannonball jellyfish of the winter season. The cannonball jellyfish don’t sting and make for great balls to play with. The dolphin bring the message of joy. They remind us to take time out for giggles, and play. They said, “Just a couple minutes of play can lighten your mood and make you feel better.”
The cormorant coming in to join the fun used her tail to help slow her down for her landing. She said, ”Use all your resources to steady yourself. Slowing it down to take in the moment, soaking up each morsel of the experience, brings a special sweetness.”

The sunrise from yesterday is posted before this one, my apologies for the delay.
The pre sunrise sky was almost back and white with a splash of pink. The flock of seagulls were already partaking in bath time when I arrived. They were super cute enjoying being close while getting squeaky clean.
One of the seagulls bathing in front of the sun brings a message. She said, “Relax all your feathers and feet, lean in and let the energy carry you forward. It feels so good to be in the flow.”
The sun came up behind a wall of clouds illuminating the sky with a buttery yellow glow. In the past few days the ocean temperature has cooled off and is now colder than the air temperature.
While hanging with the seagulls, a flock of skimmers flew in, circled us, a few landed to join the flock while the rest continued down the beach. I love skimmers! When they talk, I think they sound like a dog barking. They have very soulful eyes that are usually hidden by their black feathers. They get their name because they drag their lower beak through the water, ‘skimming’ for fish.
This morning one of the skimmers who stopped had ankle bracelets from his stay at a hospital. He said, “I wasn’t feeling well and the nice hoomans took me in, gave me a warm place to rest and lots of fish to eat. I like to be strong and independent but I also know receiving assistance is necessary at times, especially in the winter when the trek south can be challenging. The hoomans seemed to really like helping the birds, so everyone wins! Symbiotic relationships feel so good!”

A tiny shift can create a big change
My apologies, this didn’t get posted on Tuesday November 9.
With lots of fluffy clouds in the sky, Mother Nature brought us a dramatic sunrise. The air was moist and chilly with the wind continuing to howl. The wind was blowing the tops of the waves bringing us more beautiful Florida snow. That what I like to call the white sea spray tossed in the air.
The ocean was churning and sounded like a fright train from a distance. When the ocean is churning like this it tends to spit out tons of plastic and other garbage. It was impossible to walk a step without finding a pen cap, bottle top, sunglasses and loads of other garbage. The ocean brings us the message to purge toxins that cause harm. If you are local and headed to the beach, the wildlife asked if you could help pick up some of the debris?
Piper was so adorable this morning, hanging at my feet next to the sparkly sea foam. She said, “I bring the message of connection and closeness. Connecting with other beings help us to broaden our world and see life through the eyes of another.”
I saw an osprey coming my way carrying a huge sheepshead fish. Mid flight she adjusted to get a better hold on her breakfast, then flew by really close to brag a little. She said, “Sometimes the tiniest shift can make things feel easier.” She went on to say, “I highly recommend celebrating your wins! A moment of gratitude also creates a shift and can help attract more positive experiences.”

Try new Things
The sun is back and beautiful! The warmth of the sun was a nice contrast to the chilly wind. The ocean was churning loudly with wind blowing the tops of the waves sending salty mist high in the air.
The flock of seagulls, one willet, Piper and her sand piper friends and Pelican Highway were all out looking for snacks. A solo vulture flew by bringing us the message of the day. She said, “Choose paths that support your higher consciousness and your heart. For the situation on your mind, use all of your senses to find a resolution. I find when I do this it gives me more information so I know what to action to take next.”
One of the seagulls in the flock looked like he was trying to eat a wasp. He had it in his beak for about 10 seconds before dropping it. He said, “I think it’s fun to try new things, experiencing a variety of textures and tastes life has to offer. It’s ok to change your mind. If you don’t like something, let it go and move along. You can always try it again another day.”

Good morning! It's a rain day here in the sunshine state of Florida. Thought I'd share fun dolphin photos from sunrise and late morning playtime to bring a little joy to your day.

Weeeeeeeee! With a few days of rain not he way, it was a windy and red hot sunrise today! First light was a rich purple and pink color that quickly changed to an intense red.
Looks like no driving on the beach today, the tide was very high taking over the roadway.
The flock of seagulls struggled to fly in for a visit with the strong winds. One Legger landed with confidence saying, “When the elements are strong, that’s when I need to be more confident. Even though I only have one leg, I firmly root myself so I am grounded and steady.”
The water was a bit intense today, so no bath time, just hang time being really close.
On the way off the beach a small squirrel hopped right over, stopped, looked me in the eye and said, “Don’t hoard your nuts! It’s ok to lighten your load, relax and play more. I highly recommend finding balance in your every day life.”
And if that wasn’t enough as I walked by a hedge a mockingbird popped out of the hedge, tilted her head and said, “Sing more! Find your unique song and sing it with joy and pride. Let your unicorn self out to play."
"I’m also the messenger of communication which means listen to your intuition and others. Communicate what is on your mind with an open heart and mind. "

Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode- Play, Eat, Relax, Repeat
A large pod of dolphin came rushing into the lagoon feeling frisky and playful. They spent about an hour chasing fish, hugging and playing then relaxing for a few minutes before starting the fun all over again.
The younger dolphin were having so much fun playing with each other after snacking. They were popping out of the water but I wasn’t able to snap those shenanigans today. The joy and celebratory feeling made me smile from ear to ear. Hope you can feel the joy through the photos.

Step forward with a strut
Mother Nature used her beautiful fall color palette this morning using all the colors in the Crayon box including purple! A powerful sliver of the moon was setting as the sun was coming up. The breeze was blowing with both warm and cool air which felt confusing and refreshing at the same time.
The flock of seagulls flew in hot just in time for the sunrise. It never gets old being a part of the flock. They were spontaneously rushing off in flurry, then rushing back with a whoosh!
They said, The super new moon brings the energy of fresh starts and has potential to bring unexpected waves, twists and turns, so we recommend being flexible to ride the energy.
After sunrise I ran into Mikey the great egret who was a bit grumpy this morning. His gorgeous friend, the Tricolored heron brings us a message. He said,
“Step One: Go ahead, stretch out your neck.”
“Step Two: Give yourself a good shake.”
“Step Three: Step forward with your best strut. Work it, own it. You got this!”

New Moon says dive deep
Ah, a sweet and peaceful morning starting with the sky filled with pink and lavender ribbon shaped clouds. The very powerful, almost new moon is just 2 days away, bringing with it new beginnings and fresh starts. This particular new moon is in a place in the sky that asks us to dig deep.
Piper added, “This moon asks us to dig deep, be willing to see any parts we hide from ourselves. As we ‘see’ what might be hidden from ourselves we can be more free."
"This moon is also situated in a way that may bring unexpected twists and turns. Us sand pipers are very fast and know it helps to be willing to run, fly, walk or just sit, we use all our skills to go with the flow when things are unpredictable.”
A female osprey flew by saying, “Just flow with the nudging of the moon, not to worry if you feel overwhelmed or out of sorts, the energy is temporary. Trust yourself, you can dive deep and come up for air when you need it most.”

Don’t give up
The pre sunrise started with a sky full of fluffy cotton ball clouds and a sweet peach colored sheen on the water. With temperatures a little cool this morning, then the sun came up it came with an intense orange and red glow.
Pelican Highway was causing southbound using the waves to propel them down the coastline. The flock of seagulls, Ruddy turnstones, sand pipers and a solo egret came to hang out and watch the sun come up. It’s so fun to see them flock together and grab breakfast, each using their own technique to catch breakfast.
One of the seagulls called Twinkle Toes returned today from his trek up north. He has a torn toe, which is how he got his name. One legger, and Hook were in the flock too!
The seagulls were extra cute wanting to be close and say hello. One of them said, “If things seem stagnant, just give yourself a little shift, lean a different direction and you will see things from a different perspective.”
We have two messages, one comes from the people standing in the sun. They remind us we are supported. When I saw them I heard a song by Peter Gabriel, “Don’t Give Up”

With a Florida chill in the air, the morning was crisp. It was most definitely a seagull sunrise, with the flock flying in early to hang and enjoy the sunrise together. They agreed with me that the water was warmer than the air so we flocked to the water for extended bath time to keep warm.
Willy the Willet stopped by to dig up tiny crabs for breakfast. He said, “I recommend resting deeper into the moment by closing your eyes, and feeling all the sensations of the moment. By being deeper to the moment you strengthen your connection to yourself and the environment. And I look beautiful don’t you think?”
The seagulls agreed with Willy, “We agree, slowing it down to enjoy the moment makes life feel sweet and savory. We recommend spreading your wings, and lifting off with open hearts.”

Look for messages in the ordinary
Mother Nature gave us an ever changing sunrise from moody blues, to fifty shades of gray with pretty in pink finally to streaming rays of golden sunlight topped off with rain. The head clouds kept the light low and intimate feeling.
The wind was blowing the tops of the waves sending the salty spray into the air creating what what I call Florida Snow. The waves were perfectly formed as they sent out their call to the surfers.
I saw my first hawk of the winter season grabbing breakfast in the sea oats. The hawk brings the message of looking at life from a higher perspective. She said, “I remind you to use the power of focus to stay the course, especially when the wind, waves and current of life is a powerful distraction.”
“I’m am often associated with message from Spirit, asking you to be open to hearing messages. I encourage looking for messages and meaning in the ordinary, they can help guide you with navigating your next steps.”

Your Gut is Your superpower
The sunrise was very different from yesterday. The pre sunrise was almost black and white with just the slightest pink hue shimmering on the wet sand. Fluffy cotton ball clouds filled the sky and were reflected back courtesy of low tide.
On the way to the beach I saw 2 snails kissing! This was a first for me, have you ever seen snails kiss? It was still dark so I snapped the lovers with my iPhone. While photographing the sunrise, a woman helped a small starfish who waved up on the beach, return to the ocean. The starfish and the kissing snails bring us a powerful message today.
The starfish and snail are both very sensitive, they use their senses to guide them moving forward, asking us to utilize all our senses and intuition as our GPS. “We remind you to listen to your gut, it is your very own super power.”
The starfish reminds us we can heal and restore balance with time and patience. The snails said, “We highly encourage touch as a way to assist in healing. The power of connection and touch can shift the physical body which helps the mind and spirit heal too! We also bring the message of unexpected connections and unions bringing joy.”

Unity is a way to thrive
Mother Nature started with a dark intimate and romantic pre sunrise. With the heavy layer of clouds, it was quiet and extra serene. When I’m at the beach with my feet in the water, I ask,”Show me what is next.” Or, “Show me a sign to share.” It was at that moment I saw a massive purple angel in the clouds to the north. I was instantly filled with a sense of support and peace.
As the sun started to come up the morning came to life with so many birds! It was really fun to watch the color show change from romantic and sweet to sultry and intense.
Everyone was present for the sunrise, an osprey, sandpipers, ruddy turnstones, willets, of course the flock of seagulls, pelican highway and skimmers too! At one point a wave of skimmers and seagulls came flying by with a whoosh! The skimmers also joined the traffic on Pelican Highway, such a fun morning with so many feathered friends.
We have a few messages today. Skimmers are able to change directions very quickly and without warning. They said, “Be flexible and open to change, expect the unexpected and roll with the flow of energy.”
We have a storm on the way, so all the birds were working together to grab snacks before hunkering down. They merged seagull street, skimmer street and pelican highway as a way to work together. They said, “Teamwork is necessary for survival. We flock together for safety and warmth but also to conserve energy in flight by drafting off each other. Unity is our way to thrive.”

Joy is contagious
Mother Nature bought us a 360 degree sunrise experience. With breathtaking pink reflections to the northwest and heart expanding fall refections to the east, the sunrise was truly a masterpiece. The breeze was blowing bringing cooler temperatures.
The flock of seagulls flew in before the sun came up looking like the graceful bird ballet with hearts open.
The osprey from yesterday came back for more snacks and to bring us our message again today. When she came up with her fish on the first dive she gave herself a good shake and readjusted her fish before flying north. She said, “Sometimes I have to adjust mid flight, to be comfortable. Not to worry, if you have to adapt to a situation, it’s all part of the experience.”
Then she turned around and flew by going south showing off her catch of the day, saying,”It’s important to celebrate our wins. Don’t be shy about expressing your excitement. Joy is contagious! Take time to acknowledge the wins of each other too. Celebrations create momentum and positive shifts. When you share it with your flock it grows exponentially!”

Commit regardless of outcome
It was a wildlife kind of sunrise starting with a an armadillo, a frog and a couple doves on the way to the beach. The flock of seagulls flew in at their normal time feeling chatty and frisky. Along with the seagulls, a flock of sand pipers and ruddy turnstones joined in the fun.
A ruddy turnstone, aka, Rootie Tootie was enjoying a bath with the seagulls. When she flew out of the water she looked like an angel, reminding us to spread our wings and open our hearts.
The ocean was calm except for the perfect waves rolling into shore. Everyone wanted to be in the waves today, fish, a couple sharks and a female osprey grabbing snacks. The female osprey brings us the message today.
She said, “Taking risks is part of life. I don’t always catch my goal when I dive, but I know I have to commit regardless of the outcome. The experience is the most important part of the dive, and making a splash is really fun! The trick for me is I give myself a good shake after each dive so I am ready to go again. I also know if I wait too long between dives, any fear I have can grow, so I stay focused on the moment and keep diving.”

Be Fluid says the stingray
It was a moody blues kind of sunrise. With rain last night, the clouds were still hanging overhead keeping the sun hidden.
While waiting for the light to come a beautiful stingray came to hang out. She seemed to be enjoying the gentle waves rolling over her while looking for breakfast.
She brings the message of going with the flow, trusting our instincts to follow our inner compass. She said, “I’m only aggressive when threatened, otherwise I’m peaceful and graceful, flowing through the day with fluidity.”
I’m embracing my inner stingray today, going with the flow today and just posting the video rather than dark and bluesy images.

As I walked to the beach it was still very dark from the low hanging moody blues clouds. Before the sun came up Mother Nature added a breathtaking splash of pink ribbons in the clouds. The clouds were even hugging the moon giving us a cozy feeling to the morning.
One legger and her flock of seagulls flew in and really want to connect. I mentioned to them how dark the sunrise was and that I needed help to capture the beauty. They said, “Ah, it’s best to release any attachment to an outcome. Let yourself rise above any issues to get a new perspective.”
“You see, things can show up even better than expected when we don’t have any limitations on the situation. As you relax and let it unfold, your wings and heart can open and enjoy the moment.”
