The journey isn’t always straight forward
WOW! Mother Nature mixed pink and gold this morning to create a beautiful copper-themed sunrise.
It was another Easter egg kind of sunrise as the sun slowly rose, kissing the ocean goodbye for the day.
There was wildlife everywhere! Dolphins played beyond the waves, sharks patrolled the shallows, ibis searched for breakfast along the shoreline, and of course, Pelican Highway was busy enjoying a sushi breakfast. As an extra bonus, a crab made an appearance in the surf to enjoy the sunrise as well.
The shark reminds us that sensitivity is a strength. By tuning into what we feel and sense around us, we gain valuable information about the path ahead. Then, when the time is right, we can kick it to move forward.
The crab chimed in saying, ”Life isn't always a straight path. Sometimes the journey takes us sideways or even backward before moving us forward again. Not to worry, the crooked path is purposeful and part of the adventure."

Check out this adorable nugget! I’m not sure if this calf is a boy or girl yet, but s/he was clearly enjoying some close company and learning how to pop up — showing off all the cuteness.
Most people think dolphins are too smart to get hit by boats… but dolphins can be focused on socializing, caring for calves, or simply enjoying a moment together.
A little extra care and slower speeds when you see dolphins can make a big difference.

One step at a time
Good Morning!
The sunrise felt cozy and serene this morning, instantly calming my body the moment my feet touched the sand.
Mother Nature wrapped the morning in a soft pastel palette, while a gentle layer of Sahara dust gifted us a large Easter egg of a rising to greet the day.
Soft shimmery silver and blush pink light glistened on the ocean like a silky veil, adding an extra layer of calm to the morning.
Pelican Highway was especially packed, with plenty of feathered friends already gathered at a nearby breakfast stop, stocking up on sushi snacks before the day ahead.
Meanwhile, a box turtle cruised steadily across the parking lot — one determined step at a time saying, “I’m a reminder that slow and steady still gets us where we’re meant to go.”

Mother Nature brought us an ethereal sunrise this morning, using wispy paintbrush strokes to create an otherworldly masterpiece across the sky.
It was still dark when the sushi party began — pelicans arrived from every direction, diving for jumping fish as breakfast got underway. A couple of clever gulls even grabbed a pelican Uber, hitching a ride on their feathered friend to stay close to the action. They said, "Be creative, think outside the box to give your solutions that make life easier."
Near the sea oats, a yellow-crowned night heron quietly hunted for crabs. He said, “Be vewy quiet, I’m hunting cwabs.” Sounding just like Elmer Fudd, he reminded us that patience and focus often help us catch what we’re working toward.

Good Morning!
Mother Nature brought us another signature Sahara Dust sunrise this morning — calm ocean, a striped sun, and a rich color palette that felt painted just for us. Dolphins leisurely swam southbound while Pelican Highway paused often for a sushi breakfast.
On the sandbar, a surprisingly large stingray rested quietly, letting the waves roll over him like a gentle massage.
This beautiful being brings us the message today, “I am deeply sensitive which is one of my greatest gifts. I use it to sense what lies ahead and know when to move forward. Sometimes I hunker down and camouflage while I wait or rest."

Good Morning!
Ahhhhhh. Exhale…..It was one of those soothing sunrises — so calm that my body immediately matched the stillness around me.
The ocean was almost flat except for the perfect waves rolling gently toward shore, catching and reflecting the morning light while a sliver of moon still lingered in the sky.
I found myself completely mesmerized by the waves… warm salty water rolling by, occasionally delivering a playful smack and splash — a wake-up call better than coffee.
This morning, the sunlight and waves seemed to offer a reminder to soak up the light and play in the waves.
Some waves arrive softly. Some feel bigger and more powerful. Through it all, stay grounded, trust your footing, and allow the energy, light, and beauty around you to fill you up.

This was filmed one month after Puff’s shark bite — the first day he started to have a little pep in his step again. Watch to the end to see him jump!
I saw Puff this week, now 81 days post-shark bite, and his wounds look great!
I chose not to share this footage at the time because I wanted to respect his healing process and give space for recovery.
Being a witness to his journey has been both an honor and an inspiration. Sharing this now feels less about the injury and more about resilience.

The fading moon hung high in the sky as a few clouds gathered near the horizon, quietly waiting to greet the rising sun.
It’s the time of year when an abundance of seaweed washes ashore, covering the beach like a blanket and adding its earthy aroma to the morning air.
After sunrise, Spot the egret flew in sporting his fancy mating colors, looking especially handsome in the soft morning light, don't you think?
As we move closer to the new moon, just three days away, we may already begin to feel the energy of a new cycle arriving. This upcoming new moon invites us inward… a time to soften, rest, and reconnect with what feels like home within ourselves.
The man in the moon said, “If things feel quiet or like you are in a lull, allow yourself to rest. Feed your soul. New beginnings begin softly... in the stillness.”

A call from Mother Nature to love more deeply
The clouds and wet sand brought an otherworldly, absolutely breathtaking sunrise to start the day. It felt as if Mother Nature had opened a brand-new crayon box, painting the sky with an entirely new color palette.
As the sun began to rise, the clouds parted into what looked like a heart-shaped opening, allowing streams of golden light to pour through.
Like Batman’s signal shining through the night sky, Mother Nature offered her own message this morning… an invitation to open our hearts a little wider. To love more deeply, soften what has felt guarded, and remain open to the beauty, connection, and possibilities all around us.

Good Morning…
A cool 72 degrees welcomed the sunrise,
a gentle breeze moving through the morning air.
Pelican Highway was full this morning,
northbound traffic flowing with purpose,
wings gliding effortlessly above the waves.
Surfers arrived from every beach entrance,
drawn toward the ocean,
ready to meet whatever waves were waiting.
After sunrise, a dolphin surfaced in the shallows,
while nearby pelicans scored flying fish,
each morning visitor trusting the rhythm of the day unfolding.
This morning brings us the message,
Life flows beautifully when we follow our own rhythm.
Trust the timing.
Follow what calls you.
Move with the currents of possibility.
Take a deep breath…
EXHALE.

Good Morning! A gentle breeze welcomed me as my feet touched the sand, carrying the salty scent of seaweed through the morning air. A flock of laughing gulls and a handful of egrets used the wind to their advantage, effortlessly searching for breakfast.
Surfers paddled out to catch the morning waves while an osprey circled above, diving again and again in search of her own breakfast.
She missed the fish… but she kept diving. “Persistence is my superpower. I may have to dive a few times before I catch the fish, but that’s ok. It’s all part of the journey. As the famous fish Dory says,… just keep swimming or for me, just keep diving.”

Stillness is the when the magic happens
A salty breeze filled the air as I walked to the beach. Heavy clouds hovered above the ocean at first light until the wind moved them along clearing space for the sun rise bringing warmth and a golden glow.
A flock of gulls drifted down from high I the thermals, landing to enjoy sunrise. A pelican duo also dropped in looking for breakfast in the shallows.
After sunrise a blue heron was very still while hinting breakfast. He said, “Moments of stillness are when the magic of knowing happens. I become very still then wait for my inner wisdom to guide me when on when to take action. “

The sunrise felt a little more like fall this morning — cooler air, gusty wind, and a churning ocean under a beautifully messy sky.
Just before sunrise, a rocket suddenly appeared to the south, zipping across the sky like a streak of wonder. When the sun finally arrived, it streamed golden light from behind a thick gray cloud — a beautiful reminder that light always finds a way through.
The osprey, who paused overhead for a brief moment of eye contact, seemed to offer this message, “Trust the connections you make. Pause for a moment. Exhale. Then take the action your heart is guiding you toward.”

Simply enjoy the ride
The sunrise was gorgeous and full of life. A bright moon lingered high above as the rising sun painted the sky with soft pinks, golds, and blues. Gulls splashed and bathed while Pelican Highway was packed with traffic flying in both directions.
Surfers appeared from every beach entrance, eager to catch the beautiful waves.
The energy of the morning felt playful and alive. Surfers rode the momentum of the ocean while pelicans glided effortlessly above the waves, each finding their own perfect ride.
Today's message is a combination of moon, bird, and wave wisdom. The full moon shines a light on truths ready to be seen.
The flock reminds us to make time for self-care when emotions or energy feel intense from the powerful moon. And the surfers encourage us to trust the waves that arrive in our lives—sometimes the best moments come when simply enjoy the ride.

Good Morning Sunrise
The Blue Moon slowly set over the Indian River wrapped in soft, cozy clouds as first light quietly emerged in the east. Mother Nature reached for her swirly paintbrush this morning, creating a sunrise that felt warm, dreamy, and full of wonder.
It was the perfect morning for the cloud game… and I’m pretty sure I spotted the SS Enterprise hovering above the clouds. (Tell me I’m not the only one who sees it.... last photo)
This particular full moon brings a reminder to let the fog lift… to trust what feels true, release confusion, and allow clarity and your truth to shine through.

Remember….
Overcast skies and rain were moving in, so I thought I’d share one of the most magical, life-changing interactions I’ve experienced since beginning this journey in 2018.
Spot the Egret and I met an octopus.
For 45 minutes, time stood still. There was something ancient, intelligent, and deeply soulful about this beautiful Being…one of those rare encounters that leaves you forever changed.
The octopus reminds us to remember. To remember the ancient wisdom that may be hidden below the surface—within ourselves and the world around us. Sometimes, the greatest magic appears when we slow down enough to truly see.
