Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Exhaling and Connection.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Exhaling and Connection.

This might be a lovely video to watch just before bed.

A rare quiet moment in the lagoon… no boats, lawnmowers, pressure washers, or outside noise. Just the gentle rhythm of dolphins breathing and a young calf, baby Laguna connecting with an adult.

There’s something calming about listening to their slow exhale as they rise and fall through the water.

A reminder that connection doesn’t always need words… sometimes it’s simply presence, breath, and being near someone who feels safe.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Slow down and anchor into the body

Mother Nature used all the crayons in the box today… beginning with soft pinks and lavender skies before melting into vibrant oranges and golden light.

A large flock gathered at the edge of the ocean for morning bath time while a sweet duck couple quietly preened near the dunes.

Above it all, the delicate waning crescent moon lingered in the sky surrounded by fluffy clouds.

As this moon phase comes to a close, the quiet pull of the almost-new moon can already be felt.

The moon and the preening ducks bring a gentle reminder today, "Slow down and come back into the body. Savor the moments in front of you. Pull out the old bugs and worn feathers, making room for fresh energy, new growth, and opportunities waiting just ahead."

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Treasures in unexpected places

As I walked to the beach, there was only a small opening of light tucked inside a thick layer of clouds. I wasn’t sure we would get much of a sunrise… but then—pop—a gorgeous mix of salty fog, clouds, and sunshine brought us a beautiful start to the day.

The ocean was warm and felt soft as the powerful waves rolled by. A chatty flock arrived ready for bath time, filling the morning with movement and sound.

After sunrise, a dozen ibis and a solo box turtle searched for little morsels in the rain-soaked grass. One ibis looked right at the camera and said, “We are associated with deep learning and being open to discovering treasures in unexpected places and situations. Perhaps some of life’s greatest treasures are hidden in plain sight."

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Fin Turns 1 This Month!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Fin Turns 1 This Month!

Fin (who I called Sarafina when he was little) was in the lagoon with his bestie Puff today. These photos really highlight Fin’s playful personality. The red marks are from playtime, not to worry — all part of a little dolphin roughhousing.

The two of them were enjoying each other’s company and even got to play with Laguna, another calf who swam in with his mom. It definitely felt like a little celebration in the lagoon!

The playtime was supervised, meaning one of the moms stayed close whenever they became rambunctious. My guess is they want to make sure Puff continues healing from his shark bites.

Stay tuned for another update on Puff, who is doing really well!

Rest to feel centered

Good Morning!

Mother Nature brought us a soft, moody start to the day. Shades of blue drifted across the sky as gentle waves rolled toward shore, adding a calm, steady rhythm to the morning. The cool ocean air and peaceful colors felt like a deep exhale for the nervous system.

As the sun slowly rose, wet sand reflected the blue and white sky, turning the shoreline into a watercolor painting.

After sunrise, the lagoon was full of breakfast and slow-moving moments. One dolphin rolled gently onto her side, taking a quiet pause between breaths.

She said, “Rest isn’t lazy…. Even a few quiet moments can help your body and heart reset.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Happy Mothers Day

Mother Nature brought us an overcast start to the day with a moody bluesy and pink color show accompanied by soft clouds soaking up the beauty.

Today, we honor all forms of mothering—the ones raising little ones, the ones who have released them into the world, the ones who mother through friendship, presence, and heart…and the ones who carry that love quietly within. And of course Mother Earth for her nurturing support.

Nature shows us…love doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful.

Sometimes it looks like a soft sunrise, a steady presence, and tiny feet following a path they trust.

Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day, friends

Expect the unexpected

Good Morning!

Fifty shades of gray greeted the day as the sun lingered behind the clouds… yet somehow, the light still found us.

The shoreline became a mirror, reflecting sky and sea as one.

And then, as if on cue, a snowy egret arrived—adorned in his delicate mating plumage.

A quiet reminder, even on the softest, grayest mornings, beauty and connections shows up in unexpected ways.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

What is meant to restore you is in motion

Good Morning!

WOW… what a gorgeous morning. A calm ocean made it easy to see the dolphins frolicking just beyond the waves.

The water soaked up the soft pastel colors as the sun rose, looking like a painted egg.

After sunrise, Momma Sarabi and young Fin, along with Momma Boop and Puff, were in the lagoon—snuggles and snacks all around.

Fin, our wide-eyed boy, had a rake mark from his buddy Puff… a little reminder of playful moments. The moms gently supervised the roughhousing, making sure Puff’s healing wound stayed safe during playtime.

And Puff… he’s looking strong—day 17 after the shark bite.

Together, they bring us a message of healing....

"There is still room for joy, even as things mend.

Trust that what is meant to restore you… is already in motion."

Fin who is turning 1 this month! He has an are mark from his bestie Puff. Not to worry they heal fast!

Trust the landing

Mother Nature used every crayon in the box, along with a wispy paintbrush, to bring us an ethereal sunrise. A perfect morning for the cloud game. A soft salty breeze added to the beauty.

A chatty flock of laughing gulls, ruddy turnstones, and herring gulls enjoyed bath time along the shore.

Soft clouds surrounded the sun as it kissed the ocean goodbye for the day. After sunrise, Momma Sarabi and Fin grabbed a quick bite as Mikey the great egret flew in, bringing the message.

He said, “Keep your wings and heart open. Melt into your toes with each step…and trust the landing.”

No chasing, safety comes from within

WOW! First light filled the sky with wispy pink clouds, reflecting across the wet sand as a layer of hazy fog wrapped the morning in a cozy calm.

As the sun rose, the ever-changing sky continued to mirror itself along the shoreline, surrounded by soft, striped clouds.

The duck couple from yesterday returned to watch the sunrise, joined by a flock of ruddy turnstones, laughing gulls, and a handful of herring gulls.

After sunrise, a rabbit paused for a quiet veggie breakfast. The rabbit and duck couple bring us a combo message today.

“We are excellent at knowing when to stay or when to scurry—whether by wing or by foot. Our superpower is going within… trusting our instincts to know when we are safe. Safety isn’t something we chase—it’s something we feel and trust from within.”

Quiet moments to create balance

Good Morning…

As soon as my feet hit the sand, I saw a duck couple enjoying the quiet morning as it came to life. They lingered for quite a while, soaking in the sunrise before eventually flying off together.

The chatty flock was feeling frisky—darting off and back with a whoosh, filling the air with playful energy.

As the sun rose, perfectly teed up by the clouds, the ocean soaked up the warmth and scattered sparkles of light across the waves.

Our duck couple brings today’s message, “We know how to stay balanced. Taking time to enjoy quiet moments is essential. We are a reminder to trust your gut to when to be still… and when to paddle… so you can move through life with steadiness and ease.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Trust the next step

Good Morning!

With wet sand, Mother Nature brought us a reflective sunrise. The mirror image of the landscape was a stunner, adding to the heart-expanding vibe.

A mix of birds moved through their morning rhythm—searching for breakfast, preening, and enjoying bath time as the day slowly unfolded.

The moon lingered brightly in the sky, as if in quiet conversation with the clouds.

After sunrise, a box turtle made his way forward with calm determination—one step at a time.

She said, “No matter the outcome, take the next step. You don’t have to see the whole path… just trust the step in front of you. Each one carries you exactly where you’re meant to go.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Be present in the body to heal

Yesterday’s rain left behind cooler air and a whipping wind.

The bright full moon cozied up to passing clouds as the sun rose to greet the day.

At one point, the sun hovered just above a pyramid-shaped cloud… adding to the wonder of the morning.

The ocean churned with intensity, while wet sand reflected the powerful drama unfolding. Several laughing gulls and three herring gulls gathered at the water’s edge, getting squeaky clean.

One herring gull, who appears to have an oil gland issue, brings us the message today.

He said, “I look like I’m wet all the time as my feathers look wet all the time. What I know is this process might take time. The key for me is to be present and trust my body. Sometimes the work is simply to stand where you are…and allow the body, and life, to do what they know how to do.”

Let go, Surrender to the waves

Good Morning…

The full moon lingered in the sky as it slowly set over the Indian River Lagoon, while the sun began its rise into a soft, cloud-covered morning.

Mother Nature reached for her pastel palette today, wrapping everything in a calm, soothing energy.

This full moon gently invites us to release what we may have tucked away… old patterns, quiet fears, anything we’ve been holding beneath the surface.

The man in the moon said, “Use this moment to let go of what is holding you back… trust that something more supportive is ready to take its place.”

Surfers, dolphins, and Pelican Highway moved with the waves, each in their own rhythm.

The dolphins remind us…

ride the waves as they come.

Surrender to the movement.

Trust the flow.

Wishing you a gentle release today, friends

Just below the surface, gems are waiting for you.

Good Morning!

Huge, fluffy clouds filled the sky this morning, soaking in the soft extraordinary color show.

Ruddy turnstones, laughing gulls, and a half dozen skimmers enjoyed breakfast along the shore.

As the sun rose, it held its colors like a glowing, striped ball… quietly sending warmth outward. Perfect waves rolled across the calm ocean, beckoning surfers to come play.

After sunrise, I spotted not one, but two woodpeckers! They shared a message. We tap on the tree, knowing what we seek is just beneath the surface. Trust your intuition… there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
