Just below the surface, gems are waiting for you.

Good Morning!

Huge, fluffy clouds filled the sky this morning, soaking in the soft extraordinary color show.

Ruddy turnstones, laughing gulls, and a half dozen skimmers enjoyed breakfast along the shore.

As the sun rose, it held its colors like a glowing, striped ball… quietly sending warmth outward. Perfect waves rolled across the calm ocean, beckoning surfers to come play.

After sunrise, I spotted not one, but two woodpeckers! They shared a message. We tap on the tree, knowing what we seek is just beneath the surface. Trust your intuition… there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

What I choose sends ripples into the world

Salty fog filled my lungs as I stood at the edge of the ocean. High tide rolled in with strength, adding to the vibrant energy of the morning.

Sandpipers joined the ruddy turnstones, scurrying along the shore in search of breakfast. Soft, fluffy clouds drifted in from the north, adding to the beauty of the unfolding day.

When the sun rose, the clouds and sky soaked up rich gold and orange hues, wrapping the ocean in warmth.

After sunrise, a duck in the pod shared this…. “I know when to paddle, when to walk, and when to fly.Tuning in is how I decide. And take a look at my ripple…what I choose sends gentle ripples out into the world around me.”

Sunrise siesta, arrive in your own time

Clouds gathered along the horizon, wrapping themselves around the rising sun as it made its way into the day.

A few early risers moved along the shoreline—gulls and turnstones easing into their morning routines. Despite the wind, there was a calmness in the air… the kind that invites you to slow down without even trying.

And then, just off the path, tucked into the sand, I came across the sweetest little moment.

A gopher tortoise…

completely settled in…

enjoying a sunrise siesta.

Eyes gently closed.

Body at ease.

Just being.

“There’s no need to hurry into the day.

Let yourself wake up slowly… arrive in your own time.”

Release fear and rest into safety

It was a windy start to the day, giving the birds the zoomies.

Clouds gathered along the horizon, their shapes feeling almost otherworldly.

As the sun rose, it filled an opening in the clouds with a deep orange glow. Waves rolled toward shore, soaking up all the colors. After sunrise, a bunny living in the mangroves came out for breakfast.

She said, “I am a reminder to release any fear…

to rest in the safety of your heart.

Your heart remembers—you are abundant in every way imaginable.”

Filter out what you don’t need

Ahhhhh… good morning.

The sand was still wet from yesterday’s rain,

and the ocean looked more like a calm lake…

soft, fluffy clouds drifting in from the west.

A mix of ruddy turnstones, laughing gulls, and a solo herring gull

were busy with breakfast and getting squeaky clean.

As the sun came up, the clouds hovered over the ocean like a cozy blanket, soaking up the early morning glow.

After sunrise, I came across a solo spoonbill.

She paused for a moment and said,

“Trust your senses…

feel your way forward.

My bill filters out what I don’t need—

a gentle reminder to let go of what doesn’t serve you,

and keep what supports your heart’s desires.”

Play to create a shift

Good Morning! Another serene sunrise to start the day! Wet sand reflected back the cool clouds and colors on the horizon. The sun came up from behind the cloud shining beautiful light reflected back by the wet sand mirror.

Sailboats, surfers and dolphins took advantage of the perfect weather. They remind us otherwise take time to follow your passion and play. The dolphins said, “Play is a great way to shift your mood. Just a few minutes can go a long way in giving you a boost!”

Rest stop to recharge

Ahhhhh… Mother Nature brought us a calm, serene start to the day. A small flock gathered for bath time while Pelican Highway bustled with its usual commuters — plus one solo surfer sharing the lane.

One pelican veered off the highway, gliding down to a little rest stop where the waves rolled under him like a soothing massage. He said, “Rest stops are how I recharge my battery so I have the energy to take off again. I highly recommend using them."

The sunrise began with a soft swirl, then as it cleared the clouds, golden light streamed out into the day.

After sunrise, Momma Boop and Baby Puff were in the lagoon. Momma swam by with a little eye contact — just a sweet, quiet moment of connection.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode~ Pelican Athletes

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode: Pelican Athletes

These are the elite athletes of the lagoon, jumping into the mosh pit. Some people think it looks lazy, but honestly, it’s a full-contact sport where injury is always possible. They follow the dolphins, eyes locked on the mullet, waiting for just the right moment to strike.

When the dolphins toss fish into the air, the pelicans launch—diving in mid-flight to catch them. And sometimes… the dolphins will throw a fish straight into the flock and sit back to watch the chaos unfold.

Fall deeper in love with yourself

Wet sand brought us another reflective sunrise to start the day.

Clouds gathered along the horizon, snuggled around the sun as it rose.

A mix of laughing gulls, ruddy turnstones, and a solo egret enjoyed time for self-care and breakfast.

A ruddy turnstone paused to look at her reflection.

She said,

“Fall deeper in love with yourself.

Encourage yourself the way you would someone you love....

it creates an inner shift,

and changes the energy of your day.”

Support comes in many forms

Ahhhh… a reflective sunrise to start the day. The wet sand turned into a mirror, doubling the breathtaking, ever‑changing landscape on the horizon. It was one of those every‑crayon‑in‑the‑box sunrises — soft, fluffy clouds drifting above a messy, wind‑stirred ocean.

The flock flew in with the zoomies again, darting out and back on the gusts. And despite the churning water, the surfers paddled out for their daily dose of salt and courage.

After sunrise, the lagoon felt like a different world. Momma Boop, baby Puff, and a dozen pelicans floated in the calm water, soaking up the arriving sun.

The pelican duo seemed to say, “It’s good to have a wingman, a witness to our journey and to feel supported. We are a reminder how support shows up in many forms — sometimes feathered.”

Tuning in to know

The clouds drifted off overnight, but the wind is still full of personality. A flock of laughing gulls and ruddy turnstones gathered at the shoreline, chattering over breakfast.

The wet sand mirrored the sky, giving the whole beach a heart‑expansive glow. The gulls darting off and back several times seemingly inspired but the wind. They said, “Tuning in is how we know when to fly and when to land. It is our super power that enables to fly close together but never collide.”

Then the sun rose — a golden ball of light sending dancing sparkles across the ocean.

Another beautiful day in paradise.

Compassion is always an option

Ahhhhh… Some mornings arrive with wind and waves, stirring everything up. But even in the churn, there are moments of grace — a boat finally resting, a stranger showing up with a soft heart.

Soft pink and blue light stretched across the sky, reflecting on the wet sand around it. I spoke with a man stepping off the boat to make sure he was okay.

He shared, “I followed it from Daytona, just in case I could help the man on board.”

Florida Fish and Wildlife was on site, checking things out.

Pausing for a moment… and sending out positive thoughts and prayers for the boat owner.

The world felt a little wild this morning, but kindness was right there on the shoreline. A gentle reminder that we don’t always know the full story, but we can always choose to show up with compassion.

Wishing you a peaceful day, friends.

One step at a time

Mother Nature used every crayon in the box this morning bringing us a beautiful color explosion.

Small waves rolled toward shore soaking up the colors adding to the beauty of the pictures landscape.

An egret sauntered up with the flock of laughing gulls and ruddy turnstones. As he walked by he said, “One step at a time is all it takes. Stay with this moment….you don’t have to figure it all out. Feel the ground beneath you, letting that step be enough for now.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Fishy Drama

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Fishy Drama

The day started with a large pod chasing mullet in every direction. That party ended quickly, leaving two males for a few hours enjoying a mullet feast all to themselves… well, except for the dozen pelicans and a bald eagle stirring up some osprey drama.

Overhead, an osprey screeched like their feathers were on fire—it’s a signature sound when a bald eagle is in the area. The bald eagle was in hot pursuit! After several aerial moves like a Top Gun pilot, the osprey dropped the fish, deciding it was better to lose the catch than risk injury.
