Ahhhhh… Mother Nature brought us a serene morning to start the day. With high tide and powerful waves rolling toward shore, the energy felt revitalizing.
As the sun rose, the ocean soaked up the warm golden sparkles while sea steam drifted upward.
The steam, a quiet reminder to release often… letting go of what you don’t need to carry.
After sunrise, just as the light reached the Indian River, a pod of dolphins came in for breakfast, saying, “We are here to encourage you to create space to play, breathe, and feel alive. And of course grab healthy snacks."

Waste becomes a treasure
Ahhhhh… the luminous sliver of a waning moon hovered above the ocean. Don’t let its size fool you—it carries a quiet power as it prepares to disappear, making room for a new cycle.
The ocean is beginning to calm, the wind softening, offering a peaceful start to the day.
A light layer of fog mixed with the scent of seaweed, adding to the ambiance.
The flock, wings and hearts open, said, “Especially when the energy feels intense, keep your wings and your heart open.”
A crow, curiously investigating the recycle and trash bins, added its own message: “I am a messenger of magic, mystery, and transformation. What you discard still holds potential…even the simplest act can turn what you see as waste into a treasure for someone else.”

Bold New beginnings
First light filled the horizon with deep pinks and purples. A delicate sliver of the waning moon lingered, wrapped in soft, wispy clouds, as the sun began its slow rise to greet the day.
A chatty flock flew in for bath time—getting squeaky clean, shaking off the night, preparing for what’s ahead.
The energy of Friday’s new moon can already be felt. The man in the moon said, “The new moon on April 17 offers a powerful opening… a moment to release what’s been and step forward with courage. Let your intuition guide you—what’s ready to be released, and how to move forward.”
The flock chimed in, “If the energy feels strong, come back to yourself. Spend time in, on, or near the water… or simply in nature. It’s the easiest way to stay centered.”

His mom is Sarabi, who I met in 2019 when her calf at the time, Simba, introduced us. She raises the best boys!
We all fell in love with this nugget last year when they spent about six weeks hanging out almost daily.

A moment of presence to reset your energy
A nice salty breeze filled the air as I walked to the beach. For the first time in a long while, clouds joined the sunrise, adding layers of color and texture.
The sun came up surrounded by soft pink before turning gold, sending out streaming rays of light. The ocean churned, soaking up the sparkle and adding to the vibrant vibe.
After sunrise, a squirrel with his tail up stopped me in my tracks.
He said, “I highly recommend giving yourself a good shake—you know, the kind that makes stress fall off and gives your tail look like you just walked out of the salon. Then place your paws on your heart… exhale. It only takes a moment of presence to reset your energy before you run off to the next thing.”

Mixing it up, Be Bold and make a splash
Ahhhhhh… this morning I’m coloring outside the lines… mixing sunrise with last night’s sunset.
A cardinal greeted first light from the gate, singing his heart out. He sang, “Be bold… sing your heart’s desires loud and proud.”
The waves churned toward shore, soaking up the sparkling light—a contrast to last night’s calm river sunset, where pelicans dove for dinner, creating beautiful art with every splash.
The pelican said, “Keep diving for your goal, like the cardinal said, be bold! Go ahead, make a splash while going after what you want. You never know who you might inspire."

OH MY goodness! The water was clear enough to see their adorable faces!
Boop Mom and Baby Puff along with Mom Sarabi and Baby Fin were enjoying so much in the lagoon today, Snuggles, fish chases and lots of love.
Just natural dolphin behavior in the wild.
No feeding. No training. No interference.
And every time it happens, it still surprises me.

Baby Puff had a moment today…
Got water up his nose—Just kidding… technically his blowhole.
While swimming fast alongside his Mom chasing fish, he took in a little extra water and needed to pop up a few times with some very strong exhales to clear it out.
He handled it like a champ… with Mom right there the whole time

Good Morning…
As I stood watching first light bring a hint of pink to the new day, my shoulders relaxed, feeling supported by the quiet landscape.
The waning moon was still bright in the sky while the ocean churned below.A small flock flew in from the water, ready for bathtime. Gold filled the sky as the sun came up, bringing warmth with it.
After sunrise, a turtle in the river came up for a breath nearby and said, “Relax into the flow. I am a reminder that slow and steady is a beautiful way to move forward. I am a reminder not to force your way toward your goal...Not to worry, what is meant for you will never pass you by.”

In this peaceful moment from the Indian River Lagoon, two young dolphins show us what connection looks like in its purest form.
Baby Sarafina, is the larger baby, almost one year old (gender still unknown), and Baby Puff, a younger calf—likely around 4–6 months old and a male—spend hours playing side by side.
Momma Boop is with the 2 for a bit before the 2 kiddos head off to play.

Ahhhhhh… this morning arrives in layers.
A quiet half moon still holding the night,
golden light rising through the clouds,
a small flock darting off and back, adding to the lively energy.
The ocean churned, sending salt spray into the air,
it felt good in my lungs.
On the way off the beach, a soft moment with a mockingbird, perched in stillness. The mockingbird brings a gentle message today…

He’s transitioning into his adult plumage, trading in his younger feathers through a natural molt as his new colors begin to emerge.
He’s been sticking close… smart bird.
He knows when the dolphins start playing to the camera,
there’s a good chance fish might come our way.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode: Gender Reveal!
Today felt like a full-on lagoon party…
It began with sweet, quality time with Momma Boop and Baby Puff, joined by a dozen pelicans keeping things lively. After a few hours, the boys arrived—Cutter, Charley, Ocean, Whisper, and several others—bringing a whole new level of energy to the water.
Soon after, more moms and calves joined in, and Baby Puff was thrilled to have a little playmate.
And then… the moment.
Baby Puff popped up just long enough to give us a view of his belly—
It’s a boy!
For those who are curious, males have one long slit with a smaller slit above it (like an exclamation point), while females have a longer slit with two smaller slits on either side (more like a division sign).
Puff earned his name after two days of pure joy playing with a puffer fish… and just like his mom, he already loves giving playful “boops” to the birds.
In this series, he’s chasing a cormorant for a little boop of his own…. Let’s just say the cormorant was not nearly as amused as Puff.
