We are more than our wounds

As my feet hit the sand the sky was filled with a soft copper glow in anticipation of the sunrise. The flock was easily spooked by a beach ball left behind, darting off and back before settling down to enjoy our daily bath time.

When the sun came up it poured liquid gold across the sky, the air glowing yellow as sea mist softened the morning light.

Pixar, One Legger, Olive Oil, and a gull with a knee injury were all hanging around. The injured ones always seem to find me. They still fly, still fish, still show up each morning with the flock.

They remind us of resilience and purpose. They said, “We are more than our injuries. We still have a role to play in the flock.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon~ Episode - Quality Time With Cutter

This is Cutter , a sweet male dolphin who introduced himself to me April 10, 2023. Check out the last photo to see his introduction.

Today he swam in around 11, and spent 4 hours hanging out- sharing space, catching fish and connecting. 3 other dolphins popped in and left but Cutter stayed enjoying the lagoon and fish to himself.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Fly together to ease the journey

With another day of salty fog at sunrise, the morning was almost black and white with a subtle pink hue. The full moon was gorgeous, big and beautiful, bringing the energy of purification, clearing out the clutter to make room for the new.

So many birds! Some just passing through New Smyrna on their travels, while the regulars are prepping to head north.

Two One Leggers and the usual flock flew in for connection and to show off their beauty. Pelican Highway looked as if they were floating southbound, working together to make the trek easier.

The three amigos said, “When the energy of the moon feels intense, hang with your flock to ease the journey.”

Check out the last photo, what do you see?

Lunar eclipse

The Indian River Lagoon was quiet this morning, the full moon lunar eclipse shining on calm water an hour before sunrise.

The eclipse began at 3:33 a.m. PT on 3.3.2026 — a triple three.

The number 3 represents harmony and creation. When it shows up in repetition, the energy feels amplified, like a door opening.

Lunar eclipses are full moons intensified, so you may be feeling this one. I know I am! They bring shadow and revelation. What has been hidden becomes visible. What has been overworked asks for rest. What no longer serves begins to loosen its grip.

The Man in the Moon said, “Today, notice what your body is telling you. Tension is information. Fatigue is wisdom. The nervous system always speaks before the mind catches up. Surrender. Breathe. Keep your wings and heart open while you release and make room for the new.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends.

Fog burns off and clarity returns

Good Morning

The moon brought us an extra high tide and a churning ocean to start the day. The chatty flock had the zoomies, darting off and back with the wind as if they couldn’t contain their joy.

Salty fog draped the shoreline like a cozy blanket, softening the edges of everything in sight, bringing us the message today.

Not to worry if you’re feeling a little foggy, it’s always temporary. When enough light shines, the mist burns off and clarity returns.

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends.

Shake up your routine

The morning began almost black and white — a chilly breeze, a churning ocean, and sea foam rolling in with the high tide, wrapping around the gulls’ feet like lace.

The black-headed gulls were extra frisky, strutting with confidence. I swear I heard one channel Joey from Friends, “How youuu doin’?”

Then the sun rose, washing everything in warmth and a golden color show. Pelican Highway slowed just long enough to dive for breakfast in the sparkling waves.

After sunrise, the wildlife shifted gears… throwing a spontaneous pool party.. A duck couple and a flock of grackles took their turn enjoying a morning spin in the water.

The ducks said, “Shake up your routine. Color outside the lines to find your zen. Sometimes the most peaceful moments come from doing things a little differently.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Be Curious, let your imagination go wild

Good Morning Pod Mates

Ahhhhh… it felt like springtime this morning with a pastel color show, towering clouds, a calm ocean, and loads of wildlife. The light shimmered across the flat water, adding to the serenity of the moment.

An egret joined the flock today, strolling over with pure curiosity. The flock was getting squeaky clean when…. to the south a rocket lifted off, carving a bright path into the sky.

The flock, the egret, and the rocket bring us this message~

“Be curious. Let your imagination stretch beyond what feels practical. When you clear the clutter in your space and in your mind, your vision comes through with clarity. What you consistently hold in your heart has a way of finding its path. Go ahead… reach higher than you think you can.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends

Expect Unexpected connections

Good Morning, Beautiful Pod

With a sky full of cotton-ball clouds and wet sand reflecting every hue, the shoreline became a mirror for the morning’s soothing light. Pink, blue, gray, gold, and orange melted together like a watercolor painting slowly coming to life.

A small flock gathered at the water’s edge, and as sunrise approached, more and more wings appeared — flying in for bath time and connection. Ringer, our black ring-billed gull loves his name, Thank You for the suggestions!

And then… a new pod member floated into view. Against the soft pastel horizon, a little bear friend brought today’s message:

“Expect unexpected connections. Be open to both new and familiar connections drifting into your life.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends.

Commit to feel calm inside

Ahhhhh… the combination of my feet touching the shoreline and the soft pink glow in the sky calmed my nervous system instantly. The colors were rich and steady.

Perfect waves rolled toward shore, soaking up the light show and sending sparkles into the air like diamonds floating in the sky. Pelican Highway was active in both directions, stopping often for snack breaks.

In the distance, a solo pelican circled… then committed to the dive. No hesitation. No guarantee. Just alignment with the moment.

He said, “Go ahead and commit. It doesn’t matter if you catch the fish. Inner calm comes from the decision. When you choose fully, the uncertainty fades. Believe in your vision and go for it.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Stand Tall, work it own it

Good Morning, Podmates!

Mother Nature streamed a spectacular golden light show this morning, rays raining softly through the clouds while the wind whipped the tops of the waves, tossing Florida “sea snow” into the air. The crisp breeze felt invigorating — the kind that wakes up every cell.

The flock was waiting at the water’s edge when I arrived, as if we had a standing sunrise date. They headed straight into bath time, taking their self-care very seriously, getting squeaky clean in 40-degree temperatures.

Several of the gulls are now wearing their handsome dark hoods, a sure sign that mating season is near. And ohhh… they were feeling it. Standing tall. Puffing up. Dancing with confidence as they strutted after their sweethearts.

One of the gulls paused mid-swagger and said,

“Stand tall. Whether you have a partner or not, walk with confidence. Work it. Own it. The way you carry yourself tells the world how to greet you.”

Wishing you a bold and beautiful day friends.

Discovering what you are capable offs a process

Weeeeeeeee!

The wind was whipping and the ocean churned with intensity, bringing an invigorating start to the day.

Huge waves rolled toward shore as the wind lifted their tops, sending salty spray into the air. Even with the cooler temperatures, a small flock was ready for bath time — determined and playful.

When the sun rose, it nestled into the clouds, sending rays of golden light streaming across the sky. The ocean soaked up the sparkles, looking like golden diamonds dancing on the surface.

An immature bald eagle brought us the message today.

He said,“I am a young eagle, just learning about my power. I am curious. I am testing my limits and discovering what I am capable of. Transformation doesn’t happen all at once, it unfolds as I grow into who I am meant to be.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Revolving Door

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Revolving Door

Yesterday, the dolphin moms and babies were all around. The little ones were tucked in close to mom, nursing and learning.

Daniko and Jasper, 2 adult males were supporting the moms by spending time with the older calves, almost like mentors, keeping watch and holding steady space.

The real excitement began when the boys decided it was time for lunch. It didn’t last long, but it was a rush. Water splashed, energy shifted, and the whole scene turned electric.

A solo mature pelican hovered in the mix, hanging close in hopes of snagging a snack, proving once again that the lagoon really is a revolving door for wildlife.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Use the waves to nudge you forward

Good Morning! With rain just after sunrise, I was surprised to see such a gorgeous start to the day! The flock was ready to connect and get squeaky clean before the weather turns cold for a few days.

Wet sand brought us a reflective landscape, offering a calming and heart-opening masterpiece.

A pelican couple floated along, letting the current carry them southbound. One of them used a wave to take off and said, “Use life’s waves to your advantage. Trust the waves even if they are unexpected, harness their flow to carry you forward.”

Support with a wingman

Ahhhhh… Mother Nature brought us a serene and soothing sunrise wrapped in a soft pastel palette. The color show was so unique, it felt as if she opened a brand-new box of crayons just for today.

A light breeze and calm ocean added to the peace.

It was quite the wildlife morning! The flock flew in ready for bath time while two pelicans floated in the shimmering waves near dolphins surfing and snuggling.

The wildlife showed up in pairs today — two dolphins, two skimmers, and two laughing gulls.

Together they bring the message of a wingman which includes animals. They said, “We flock together and travel in pods because connection keeps us safe and supported.”

Let the waves roll under you

Ahhhhh… Mother Nature brought us a springtime sunrise with warm temperatures and a pretty-in-pink color show.

The flock was already at the edge of the ocean, ready for daily bath time, while Pelican Highway rolled on down the shoreline.

A solo pelican hopped off the highway at a rest stop to let the waves roll under him, bobbing gently up and down in the water. He said, “The waves are fun! All you have to do is relax and let them roll under you rather than over you. Surrender is key."

The sun rose looking like a striped egg before filling the air with a soft golden glow, ushering in a wave of hopeful energy for the day ahead.

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Use your heart to know what is true

Good Morning

With a layer of salty fog, the morning began almost black and white with a dreamy quality to it. The cool ocean rolled over my feet as the mist filled my lungs, soft and cleansing.

When the sun first appeared, it looked as if it were being squished — an optical illusion created by the atmosphere bending the light. The sun wasn’t actually changing shape, it only appeared that way.

The squishy sun brings us the message today. “When things look different than you expected, use your heart as your GPS. It will always tell you what is true for you. Sometimes life looks distorted at first glance. But clarity comes as the fog burns off.”

Let the eclipse burn off what you no longer need

Good Morning!

A fluffy layer of lavender clouds hovered above the shoreline like a cozy fleece blanket at first light.

The sea foam was thick — clinging to the sand and wrapping around tiny feet like soft winter boots. Florida snow, styled by the tide. The birds stood calmly in their foam shoes, grounded and unbothered.

When the sun rose, it poured pink, orange, and gold into the clouds, brushing the flock with warmth. Even though the solar eclipse isn’t visible here in sunny Florida, its presence can still be felt.

One of the gulls, hung near the glow of the rising sun said, “Use the energy of the eclipse today to burn off anything you no longer need, freeing yourself to step into new possibilities.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
