Nature restores balance

Good morning! The wind whipped the tops of the waves, sending salty spray into the air, while the sun rose big and bold, offering warmth and the feeling of a fresh beginning.

The flock arrived right on time for bath time. A solo skimmer skimmed low over the water, and several ruddy turnstones flitted along the shoreline, busy with breakfast.

Nearby, a mourning dove puffed up her feathers against the chill. She offered a simple reminder, “Any time in nature helps the body regulate. No loud message — just the steady reassurance that a few minutes in nature can soothe the soul.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Human Whispering

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Human Whispering

I often say the dolphins are human whispering—connecting through presence, frequency, and intention.

This is Daniko, a male dolphin I’ve photographed since 2018. Dolphins use their rostrum (snout) to direct echolocation—waves of sound and vibration moving through the water. I can feel it when they intentionally send that energy my direction.

Each dolphin, like us, carries a unique energetic signature. That along with their intention determines the quality of the waves. Sometimes playful, sometimes frisky—and other times, like in this video, soothing and healing.

Can you feel it?

Support is all around

Wowzer! Mother Nature used every crayon in the box, gifting us a spectacular sunrise. A blanket of clouds made the morning feel cold and cozy at the same time.

The flock flew in ready for bath time and hang time, while Pelican Highway traffic was sparse heading southbound. One Legger led the crew, skillfully using the wind to hang in place or dart off and circle back.

Fred the laughing gull brings the message today, “Notice how support doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it’s the wind holding you in place, the sand beneath your feet, or the combination of colors and soft clouds reminding your heart you are safe.”

Soak up the light

Mother Nature greeted us with a heart-opening light show, rays pouring through the clouds inviting us to soak up the light.

The wind whipped the tops of the waves, tossing salty white spray into the air.

As the sun rose, a single beam of light broke through — steady and sure — before slowly spreading into a breathtaking landscape. A reminder that clarity often arrives as one small opening before it expands into something bigger than we imagined.

Pelican Highway was active, huge waves carrying them southbound. Despite the chill, the flock embraced an invigorating bath time, showing us that sometimes the very thing that wakes us up also refreshes our spirit.

Stay open, soak up the light

Ahhhhhh… a veil of misty fog hovered over the shoreline, softening the morning until the sun slowly rose, painting a golden lining along the clouds on the horizon. The light felt gentle, as if it needed a moment to arrive.

The gulls flew in with hearts and wings wide open, reminding us to stay open ourselves—to receive the warmth, the light, and whatever wants to meet us today.

So many birds gathered: skimmers, laughing gulls, herring gulls, royal terns, and ruddy turnstones. One bird already had an almost black head, a quiet sign that spring and mating season are on the way. There was a hint of romance in the air, subtle but unmistakable.

A skimmer joined the laughing gulls for bath time, moving in sync as they used the buddy system. They said, “It’s good to have a wingman—even during bath time. Some things are simply better when shared.”

Embrace the waves!

Salty fog lingered in the air as swirly clouds drifted overhead, wrapping the morning in a soft, soothing hush. The sky felt tender and alive.

The flock flew in loud and animated, eager to connect, their voices weaving into the rhythm of the shore. Waves rolled in steadily, adding a spark of exhilaration to bath time.

One gull stood her ground, letting each wave wash over her. She said, “Embrace the waves. They may feel daunting at first, but once they pass, you’ll discover you’re stronger than before.”

After sunrise, pelicans skimmed the water, chasing tiny fish for breakfast, wings wide and confident. They said, “Keep your wings open. If you need to pause or break, you’ll know. Trust your inner guidance. You’ve got this.”

Let the light heal

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat, Be

Wow, The sunrise arrived with quiet power today — clouds perfectly placed, opening just enough to let heart-warming rays stream through. Below, the ocean churned gently, soaking it all in as golden sparkles danced across the waves.

The flock was ready for bathtime and connection. Pixar and One Legger were hanging out together reminding us how comforting it is to have a wingman nearby.

The streaming sunlight felt like an invitation: Inhale the warmth. Exhale whatever feels heavy. Let the light do what it does best, soften, soothe, and quietly heal.

Your loved ones are watching over you

Good Morning! The sky filled with a buttery gold 30 minutes before sunrise. As we got closer to sunrise the wind picked up sending glistening sand down the beach

The flock hovered in place, tiny hearts hanging in the breeze,

pausing to greet the day before slipping into bath time. When the sun finally rose, the ocean answered with twinkling lights, each wave catching a spark of warmth.

On my walk off the beach, a male cardinal appeared, brilliant and sure of himself.

He said, “I carry messages of enduring love and renewal. If you are missing your angel loved one, know they are safe, near, and watching over you.”

Step into nature to heal

Brrrrrr… the wind was whipping, giving us a chilly start to the day.
The flock used the wind to hang in place, hovering and connecting. Pixar, Hook, One Legger, Peg, and Split Footer wanted to be close.

Fred, Naughty Pants, and Squawker were also there, sounding the morning alarm with their calls.

The waves churned toward shore as the sun rose from behind the clouds. Even though it was cold, a few brave birds went in the ocean for bath time.

They said, “Getting squeaky clean is a priority for staying healthy. Just a few moments in nature, especially near water, can help calm the nervous system and release stress.”

New moon is powerful, Rest to integrate

Ahhhhh… the ocean was calm this morning, wearing a silver sheen that shimmered across the surface. Fluffy clouds invited us into a round of the cloud game — finding shapes, figures, and little moments of wonder.

The flock was chatty and engaged, a bit frisky too, perhaps sensing the storm energy moving in.

As the sun rose, soft rays stretched toward the ocean, bringing a gentle warmth into the air. After sunrise, Spot flew in to say he’s doing well — the feather came out cleanly, leaving just a tiny scab.

Luna, our snowbird osprey, was nearby catching a nap. She shared this message, “If you’re feeling heavy or tired today, not to worry — that’s the energy of the new moon. Honor your body. Rest if you can. Rest isn’t lazy — it’s how we refuel and integrate new energy.”

Play is a superpower

Good Good Morning.

The ocean was calm, making it easy to spot the dolphins who spent nearly 30 minutes smooching and hugging right in front of the flock.

When they began to leap, they said, “Go ahead — snuggle and play. We know life can feel a bit bumpy right now, and that’s exactly why play matters more. When you snuggle and play, something shifts inside you. That shift then touches others. That’s your superpower.”

New Moon brings assistance in manifesting

As I stepped outside, I noticed a delicate sliver of the moon illuminated against a deep purple sky. The air was crisp and gorgeous. As the moon wanes and we prepare for the New Moon, the wave of energy feels palpable.

The man in the moon said, “You can feel the energy of the upcoming New Moon three days before and after. I am here to assist you in manifesting long-term goals, clearing emotional blocks, and encouraging the discipline needed to reach your heart’s desires.”

Before the sun was up, pelicans dove into the waves for breakfast while the flock of gulls flew in, ready to connect. Out in the rough ocean, a dolphin popped out of the rough ocean reminding us to expect the unexpected.

The sun rose bringing warmth and golden streaming light, a sweet reminder of the beauty of a new day.

Chin up, wings open, you got this!

With rain in the forecast, clouds filled the landscape, giving us a cozy start to the day. The crescent moon was still high in the sky, surrounded by cotton-ball clouds that felt soft and comforting.

Before sunrise, a pink glow filled the sky, shimmering on the calm ocean and making it look like it was draped in silk. When the sun finally emerged, its golden light was held by the clouds, forming a glowing orb that felt like it transported us to another world.

After sunrise, five pelicans appeared in the lagoon, scanning the water for breakfast.

One of the mature pelicans paused and said, “Keep your wings and hearts open as you prepare to take off. Chin up, stay confident, and remember—you can fly. You’ve got this.”

Heart presence is support

The sunrise was cozy and soothing today, with soft, fluffy clouds hovering like a blanket. The color show stayed gentle — mostly blues, a pop of pink for a few minutes, and eventually gold as the sun rose above the clouds.

The flock flew in chatty, ready to connect and get squeaky clean. All the regulars were there, and I noticed Split Footer’s head is beginning to turn black — a sign he’s shifting into breeding plumage and getting prepped to head north in a few months.

When their heads turn dark, it lets us know mating season is on the horizon.

A flock of sandpipers scurried through the laughing gulls, busy searching for breakfast. A couple paused for a moment and shared a message.

One said, “My wingman doesn’t feel well, so I’m staying close for comfort until she’s ready to go again. I can’t fix it for her, but she’s not alone." Not to worry, she coughed up a hairball and they continued the beach together.

Giving and receiving are the same energy

Mother Nature brought us a reflective sunrise with heart-opening golden streaming light. The sky shifted from pink and lavender into a rich golden glow as the morning unfolded.

Soft clouds, wet sand, and a churning ocean added to the magic. The flock flew in, holding their place in the wind. One skimmer arrived especially chatty.

Skimmers are black-and-white birds with bright red beaks who feed by skimming the water for fish.

I noticed she had bands on her legs — a sign she had once been helped by humans through conservation or care.

She said, “There was a time I needed support, and it was given with kindness. My situation reminds us that giving and receiving are the same energy. You see, I could tell the humans caring for me felt good helping, and I felt good receiving the help. A win-win.”
