Higher perspective to avoid distractions

The sunrise was for the birds today! The flock of seagulls flew in hot and spunky. With a light breeze and calm ocean, the vibe was serene. Dolphins cruised northbound in the distance grabbing breakfast while the flock danced in front of the sun.

They were showing off their acrobatic skills bringing us the message of play and quick change. They said, “Changing directions quickly is not just fun but necessary to go with the flow. Oh and walking on sunshine is fun too!”

After sunrise I ran into a what I think is a Coppers hawk. Maybe my bird friends can help me know for sure? He was stalking his breakfast when I showed up to connect.

He said, “I bring the message of focus and clear vision. I’m here to encourage soaring high to get a higher perspective and avoid distractions. Getting the birds eye perspective can help you navigate any obstacles so you can stay focused on your goal.”

“Also, did you know hawks mate for life? They bring the message of commitment. Whether you are in a relationship or not, staying committed to your heart’s desire is a great way to keep your heart open and feel fulfilled.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Break out of routines

Ahhhh, a cozy morning courtesy of sea fog and Sahara dust. The color show stayed muted until the sun came up to greet the day. The breeze created textured waves as they rolled toward shore.

A solo baby turtle was making his way to the water bringing us the message of following our instincts. The little one said, “I am born knowing exactly which way to go. Even when condo lights confuse my sense of direction, I have an inner knowing of my truth that I trust. I am the reminder to avoid distractions and stay the course of your hearts desires.”

The flock of seagulls came in after sunrise feeing spunky and fun. I asked them why they returned from their trek up north so soon. They said, “We find it’s good to break out routines and schedules. When you color outside the lines, you find new experiences can come to you.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

I’m away from the sunrise today for the Ocean Float. I wanted to use this opportunity to say THANK YOU and let you know how grateful I am for all your support and encouragement.

Roy, my late husband, and I spent countless hours brainstorming about how we could help more people find peace and balance. We were always bouncing around ideas about classes, books, retreats, you name it we were taking about it.

We were also just as passionate about the environment. We believed if we could help people let go of the stress and trauma they would feel better and then take better care of themselves and the planet.

Fast Forward to a year after he passed, he came to me in a dream and took me shopping for a professional Canon camera.

The camera brought life back to me by connecting directly with nature and animals which helped heal my heart.

What I didn’t realize until the premiere of the documentary, My Invisible Husband, is Roy figured out a way for us to reach more people through photography and the film!

What I know for sure is our passion to help people and the environment continues because of all of you!

All of your likes, shares, comments and encouragement help spread the beauty of nature and creates unity. This seems especially important at a time when we can feel divided and worried.

From all of my heart to yours, THANK YOU for helping spread the healing beauty and joy of Mother Nature. Thank you for being my pod, I'm truly grateful for the connections!

Let me illuminate all you need to see ~ The Sun

Surf’s Up!

What a fun and beautiful morning. Sharks and stingrays played in the waves close to shore while surfers a solo dolphin and Pelican Highway took to the waves further out.

The Sahara dust was thick this morning keeping the light low and cozy. Seagull street was frisky, stopping to show off their tattered feathers saying, “It’s true, the elements can be hard on us but we know we are still beautiful. Being tattered just means we are living which we highly recommend.”

A surfer waiting on a wave in front of the sun brings us the message of soaking up the energy of the sun. The sun is a unifying symbol of life, energy, and clarity. The sun says, “Let me illuminate all you need to see. I encourage you to use my light to fill you and give you strength.”

Lastly the waves bring us the message of trust. As one surfer caught a wave, another was going out through the same wave reminding us not every wave is ours to catch. Not to worry, what is meant for you will never pass you by.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Be flexible and open to the flow

Mother Nature used the Sahara Sands to showcase her bronze color palette. The salty breeze was light and felt good against my skin. Several seagulls flew in to enjoy the sunrise and connect.

They were reaching for the sky with wind open wings. One stopped on a dime to change direction saying, “It’s important to stay open to quick changes."

"I recommend expecting the unexpected, let yourself be flexible and open to the flow of energy. Remember to keep your wings and heart open, it makes the process more rewarding.”

Another seagull was hanging in place brings the message of slowing down each moment to give yourself more information. “You see, being present in the moment can show you synchronicities that can guide you forward.”

Balance, Play, leaping forward

Mother Nature brought us a simple yet beautiful sunrise this morning. The absence of clouds and heavy haze created a cozy and serene vibe. The color show was muted until the golden ball of light came up to fill the sky with warmth and hope.

Pelican highway was causing mostly southbound white the flock of seagulls came in to enjoy a crab breakfast.

Mikey the great egret brings the message of leaping forward. He said, “Taking a risk doesn’t mean it always works out the way you want it to. Leaping is about courage and the experience. Relax, lean back and trust things will work out.”

A squirrel was watching the sunrise for a long time. She said, “Us squirrels bring the message of hard work but also one of balance, playfulness and adaptability. A nice balance with work and play is important to feel solid.”

"Squirrels love to play because playfulness makes us happy. Embrace your inner squirrel today and have some spontaneous fun! It’s helps lighten the load. I also encourage seeing life through the eyes of another because it can bring compassion and understanding.”

Move forward fearlessly

WOW!  Mother Nature brought us another dramatic sunrise with fluffy clouds, rain on the horizon and heart expanding reflections on the wet sand.  The almost new moon and Venus together in the sky added to the powerful vibe.

New moons bring us the energy of new beginnings and fresh starts.  This particular almost new moon is situated in the sky to bring us a boost with manifesting our hearts desire.  This new moon says, “Use my energy!  This month I bring you a feisty and magical energy to make your dreams come true. I am bringing bold energy for you to harness hope, faith and zest to move forward fearlessly.”

We have a record number of turtle nests this year which means baby turtles are going to start showing up.  This morning 2 baby turtles agreed with the almost new moon.  They said, “We have an innate knowing of our path.  We have an inner drive toward our destiny.  We remind you to tap into your inner guidance to take you forward.”

Our journey is long and can be dangerous.  We represent staying the course, remain resilient, trust us when we say, you are stronger than you know.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

The waves appear when you need them

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.

Mother Nature brought us a stunning and dramatic sunrise to kick off the week. The color show was exquisite, using every crayon in the box. The fluffy clouds kept the light low and cozy like a soothing blanket.

Waves catching the light were rolling toward shore for the surfers and Pelican Highway to enjoy. The waves and a solo surfer waiting on a wave brings us the message of patience, timing and enjoying the moment.

The waves ask us to be patient, savor this moment while we wait for the next wave of energy to carry us forward. Rest deeper into your body, feel the sensations and textures of the now, trust the timing, not to worry, the waves will appear to support you at just the right moment.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the lagoon~ Episode-Walking with Pip the Pelican

Tales from the Lagoon- Episode - Taking a walk with Pip.

Hi I’m Pip the Pelican. I like long walks along dock, looking for fish, my friend Spot the Egret and twirling. I am very sweet and enjoy spending with my Hooman friend.

Because I’m like a puppy, I like to put all kinds of things in my beak.

I’m actually a good helper with picking up trash. When I see stuff floating or on the bottom, I scoop it up and toss it around.

This is how I decide if i should eat it. Usually if it’s trash, Shelley is yelling, “Puppy! That’s not a fish, Don’t eat that!” If it’s not a fish, I give it to Shelley to put in the garbage.

We are quite the trash team.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Loosen your grip to feel steady

So many fun cloud shapes soaking up the rainbow of colors. First light brought a misty pink cloud steaming up to touch a sliver of the almost new moon. A light breeze and calm ocean added to the serenity vibe.

When the sun came up, the color show switched to an intense copper glow giving new life to the cloud art. One of the clouds looked like a young Pegasus dancing in the sky.

After sunrise Spot the egret was grabbing breakfast. Spot is a very good fisher bird so I asked him his secret. He said, “I remind you to trust yourself to step out on the skinny branch. Sure it feels risky, but if you are centered and focused you are set up for success.”

“The secret key is to do the opposite of what you think which is loosen your grip to feel more steady. As you relax and rest into your feet you will feel solid no matter the foundation, because you are solid.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Focus on your strengths

A layer or salty fog hovered above the water giving us a peaceful and cozy feeing to the morning. A bronze color filled the sky at first light as prefect waves rolled toward shore.

About a dozen seagulls flew in to enjoy the sunrise. One of the gulls with an injured leg had a fish.

He came over close to show his catch saying,”It’s true I’m injured and don’t feel like my best self. Despite my leg not being at a 100%, I was able to catch a fish! I bring the message of focusing on our strengths to thrive, remember you are more resilient than you think.”

Pelican highway gracefully cruise southbound occasionally diving for snacks. They remind us to take action and dive in when we feel inspired.

"Commit to the goal, and go for it! You see staying the course whether you get your fish is part of the journey. Let go of the outcome and have fun.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Fall Deeper in love with your true Love

Mother Nature brought us a repeat sunrise starting with a very still, bronze first light. Once the sun came up the color shifted to an intense golden orange glow filling the air with heat and hope of a new day.

3 seagulls were duking it out over a shrimp in a high speed chase. A couple willets have come to see the sunrise every day this week.

One was enjoying a quiet breakfast bringing us the message of love. She said, “I encourage you to fall in love with the reflection of your true love. You’ll find loving yourself attracts more of what you desire.”

After breakfast, Willy and Wilhelmina got into a little squabble. They said, “Sometimes we have to work things out by expressing our frustrations. Not to worry, we made up and went on to walk the beach together.”

Love is your superpower

The Sahara Sands are back giving us a muted and serene sunrise.  At first light, purple, pink yellow and blue came together to give bronze color show.  Before the sun came up, I found my body matching the stillness of the morning.

The ocean was calm except for the perfect waves rolling in.  Little sharks were cruising by in the waves looking for breakfast.  They said, “We bring the message of focusing on your strengths.  You see, what you put your focus on is what you create. We are sensitive and strong reminding you to use your intuition to kick start yourself and move forward. Not to worry, you can handle any situation.”

After sunrise I ran into a couple of love birds.  Oh my heart be still, they were so sweet together.  The mourning dove couple bring us the message of peace and love.  They said, “Love is a powerful tool to make life sweeter, we recommend showing love to your flock.  Allow yourself to let go of anything in the way of compassion for yourself and others.”

Wishing you a day filled with love!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Pip the Pelican gives a Lagoon Update

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Pip the Pelican Shares an Update from the Lagoon

Hi everyone!  It’s me Pip!  If you are just tuning in, I’m an immature pelican who befriended Shelley March 23 when she helped me get a filleted fishy out of my pouch.

This week was very exciting in the lagoon.  I started seeing manatees!  I hadn’t seen one of these before.  They are huge!  When one swam by me I was confused because I didn’t know what it was.  It came up for a breath near me and I got startled and flew the other direction.  I’ve seen more since then and have learned they are very sweet.

I still like the momma dolphins the best, they are more gentle.  I get a little scared when they jump and chase fish really fast.

I felt more sleepy this week so I spent more time on my pole with Mikey the great egret and Violet my mature pelican friend.  Violet is a bit intense and aggressive so I know to keep my distance from her.

I’m still putting all kinds of things in my beak like sticks and leaves.  The other day Mikey was grooming and his feathers were flying so I picked on up and it got stuck in the corner of my beak.  I shook and shook but it wouldn’t budge. I was really frustrated!  Finally I jumped back in the water and plunged my whole body deep into the water and it came out.  Phew!

Oh and I am learning about stingrays. Shelley and I were sitting on the sandbar about a foot apart.  Shelley was giving me one of those pep talks about the life of a bird when a stingray swam between us!  I flapped my wings and gave a little sound that surprised both of us.  We both laughed for a while.  The lagoon sure is full of cool wildlife!

Stay tuned for more tales!

Savor the textures and sensations

Before sunrise the color looked muted giving us almost a black and whit first light with a slight copper haze. When the pink sun came up it spread a golden orange light across the ocean filling the air with a hopeful and happy vibe.

Perfect waves rolled toward shore beckoning the surfers to come play. Pelican highway traffic was light flying in both directions. They joined the surfers using the waves to cruise down the beach.

2 dolphins were rolling around in the waves, snuggling and chasing fish. They bring the message of play and savoring each moment with our pod mates. “We encourage taking time to play, letting yourself experience the textures and sensations of the moment. We know how a few moments of joy can shift the energy of your day.”

Wishing you a playful day friends!

A message of trust alignment and timing

As I walked to the beach I could see pink light jetting in the blue sky like a super powered flashlight. The contrast of deep blue and pink was breathtaking.

A soft, salty breeze filled my lungs and sand under my feet helped me feel grounded. A couple seagulls and a solo blue heron were already at the water when I arrived.

An undertow was strong as the beautiful waves rolled in catching the light. The undertow, waves and Pelican Highway bring us the message of trust, alignment and timing.

The current reminds us that energy is moving around us even if we can’t see it. Sometimes the undertow is subtle and other times it can catch us by surprise and carry us forward.

Pelican Highway chimed in saying, “Just like us, things are lining up. Not to worry, people, places and things are getting into alignment whether you are aware of it or not.“

The waves remind us about timing. There are cycles and rhythms to waves, reminding us to grab our surfboard of life and be ready to grab the wave when it arrives. While waiting, enjoy playing in the water of life.

Wishing you a groovy day friends!

Change is part of our evolution

This morning brought us a soft and sweet sunrise. Mother Nature wanted to highlight the symbol of love with a heart in the clouds and in a wave. The heart is a universal symbol of love and life, unifying us.

The waves were rolling in catching the light as light pelican Highway traffic cruised southbound.

I ran into several hermit crabs on a walk about. They bring us the message of exploration and growth. They said, “We wander about looking for food and in search of new opportunities. We have our home with us so we are free to move from one place to another.”

“It’s natural for us to outgrow our current shell, growth and change are all part of our evolution. When our shell becomes too small for us we search for a new one that will take us the next level.”

Wishing you a day filled with love!

Tales from the lagoon ~ Osprey Raspberry and Dolphin Play

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Osprey Raspberry and Dolphin Play

Yesterday the birds were a bit cranky. Skylar the osprey flew in to hang out on the railing of the nearby condo. She screeched for at least 30 minutes, so loudly I got out out of the water to get closer and snap her photo. She was talking to her reflection in the window then turned around and continued to vent very loudly!

Dolphins came in and all day for a little play but mostly to relax. When they left then went to the shore across the river to grab snacks then came back to chill and roll around.

Pip the pelican and several other pelicans were hanging out too. Pip got a little grumpy with another immature pelican and grabbed her neck with his beak. This is pretty common to see when pelicans get grumpy. I think it’s a good sign Pip feels strong enough to try to be dominant. I was relieved to see no-one was injured and they continued to fish together after the little squabble.

Never a dull moment in the lagoon! Stay tuned for more tales!

Love needs an open door

Mother Nature brought us a moody blues kind of sunrise with low light and and sweet refections. Silver light danced across the water looking more like a moon shadow than a sunrise.

The moon was high in the blue sky adding to the romantic vibe of the morning. About a dozen seagulls flew in to say hello and hang out int he shallow tide pool. We enjoyed a little bath time and a few giggles too.

One of them looking at himself said, “Laughing with yourself is a great way to lighten the load. You see, giggles and laughing with yourself is a wonderful way to shift your mindset.”

A couple other seagulls added to the message saying, “Love needs an open door, we recommend opening your wings and hearts to let it in. You’ll find you are able to soar even higher with the support.”

Wishing you a day filled with love!
