New Moon, new dreams
Mother Nature brought us an angelic sunrise this morning with a huge angel shaped cloud on the horizon. Gold light streamed from the clouds filling the morning with a feeling of wonder.
The almost new moon was bright in the sky. Although it is still a few days away now is the time to harness the power of the new moon and fresh starts. This particular moon is assisting us in breaking free of negative patterns so we can have a fish start. This is a good time to release anything holding us back.
The flock of seagulls, herring gulls, ring billed gulls, ruddy turnstones and sand pipers flew in early for bath time despite the cold weather. On the way off the beach I saw a little Lizard who was frozen, that happens here in Florida in the winter, the lizards can ‘fall out’ from the cold.
All they need is a little warmth to thaw and they are good as new. I picked up Lizzie and she went right for my Hot Pocket ( A warm pouch) and spread out. She warmed herself for about 5 minutes then went on her way.
Her message fits perfectly with the almost new moon. She said, “I encourage getting clear about your dreams. Take time to imagine what your heart truly desires. In this moment feel what inspires and energizes you because this is how our dreams are born.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Your unique self has special gifts
I’ve never been so happy to see a fifty shades of grey sunrise. The absence of rain was a huge relief this morning. The sun stayed hidden behind the cloud cover but was able to bring us a little purple passion color for the pre sunrise.
There must have been a thousand birds! Everyone was there, the flock of seagulls, ruddy turnstones, skimmers, ring billed seagulls, herring gulls, Tiger the Heermann’s gull, sand pipers and a couple pelicans.
The flock flew in hot and crazy! They were extra vocal about the weather. During bath time one of the gulls said, “We know it isn’t always convenient to bathe but it is necessary for our health so we make the time.”
Buddy the herring gull flew in with the seagulls looking huge next to them. He brings the message of standing out in a crowd. He said, “Be authentic and bold. Dare to be different, don't hold back, your unique self has special gifts to share.
Wishing you an amazing day friends!

Rainy Day Lighthouse Shenanigans
It was overcast and raining again at sunrise this morning so I thought I'd share the wildlife shenanigans around the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Hopefully the sunrise will be back tomorrow.

Rainy Day Surf’s Up!
We are having another fifty shades of grey with rain here in sunny Florida. I thought I would share a few surfing photos to bring a fun vibe to your day.

Dolphins, rainbows brings us magic
WOW! Huge fluffy clouds were soaking up the pastel color show before the sun came up. It was a magical start to the day with a rainbow to the north, dolphins surfing the waves, raindrops falling and our California celebrity bird the Heernman’s gull. I half expected a unicorn to come prancing down the beach.
When I was talking to Tiger, the Heermann’s gull, he leaned in as if saying, “What you are saying is important to to me, I want to hear everything because listening is an important part of connection and care.”
The sun only came up for a few minutes before heading behind the cozy clouds. Dolphins were everywhere, far off leaping out of the water and closer to shore surfing the waves, grabbing snacks and kisses. They were having so much fun!
We have several messages today. The dolphins bring us the message of being fluid. They said, “Instead of structure, we are more fluid with life. We go toward what feeling inspiring and energizing which is why we may be feeding one minute, then surfing the next.”
The loon the dolphins were hanging with brings the message that our wishes and dreams are in the making. Loons ask us to open our minds and hearts, connecting to our Divine Essence to manifest our heart’s desire. The rainbow, a universal sign of hope and peace joined in asking us to keep hope alive.
Wishing you a magical day friends!

Dig deep to reach your goal
With the air temperature being chilly the warmer ocean looked like a giant hot tub emitting steam. The steam reminds us to let out our “steam” so it doesn’t build up like a pressure cooker.
First light filled the sky with a deep orange and golden glow with a chilly coming from the north. The flock of seagulls flew in ready for a warm bath. We enjoyed the warm water so much, we didn’t want to get out. One of the seagulls said, “Take a deep breath, relax your shoulders and lift up. The trick is relaxing so you can truly drink in the moment.”
Piper ( Sandpiper) and Rootie (Ruddy turnstone) were running around with their friends grabbing breakfast. Rootie said, “I find it helpful to dig deep to get your goal. Sometimes, the yummy nuggets may take a little effort to get, but not to worry you can do it.”
Wishing you a warm and cozy day filled with beauty

Going with the flow
Weeeeeeeee! Baby it’s windy outside! The pre sunrise sky was grey with the contrasting white churning ocean waves. The wind was catching the sparkly white mist and tossing it into the sky giving us a beautiful winter landscape.
Eventually a little pink hue emerged which morphed into a golden glow filling the air with warmth.
The flock of seagulls flew in fast and chatty. Bath time was very short today. The seagulls bring a message of timing saying, “It’s about going with the flow, we can get the bugs off later when it’s warmer.”
Surprisingly a pelican flew in to join the flock of seagulls. He brings the message of expecting the unpected connections, they can show up anytime and out of the blue.
Wishing you a beautifully day friends!
Rainy Day Cloud Art
We are having a fifty shades of grey, intense gusts of wind with spitting rain this morning.
One of the many reasons I love the sunrise is seeing the creative cloud formations. It never gets old seeing what or who shows up in the clouds.
I think clouds are one of those things that unifies us. Most people at one point in their life have played the cloud game, it’s a great way to come together in a creative and playful way.
I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. An angel with her feet dangling just above the ocean, a dolphin leaping out of the ocean, a waterspout and 2 bears smooching while holding the sun.
Wishing you a playful day friends!

Feeling each moment
With a ceiling of cloud cover mixed with soft brush strokes of swirly cobalt blue, the morning was dark and cozy. The breeze was light along with a calm ocean adding to the serenity.
The flock of seagulls flew in when it was still dark for bath time. Willy the willet was hanging by himself enjoying a little bath time too. He said, “When you see a willet hanging around we can appear to be nondescript but when we open our wings and show off our hearts, you see just how gorgeous we really are.”
“For a bird, I tend to be pretty chill. I bring the message of feeling each moment, really soaking every second of an experience. The depth it brings is quite rewarding.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the lagoon ~ Episode Splish Splash I was taking a bath
Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Splash Splash I was Taking a Bath!
People ask me all the time if I get bored? The truth is there is always someone to hang out with while waiting for the dolphins. The pelicans have been amazing the past couple days, diving for snacks, resting, getting squeaky clean.
Have you ever seen a pelican talk a bath? They start by sticking their beak and head under water then with all their might they start smacking their wings on the water. You can hear from quite a distance! This pelican and I have spent a lot of time together the past few days so he sauntered over close to show me the right way to take a bath. I think I picked up a few tips!
Stay tuned for more tales!
Lean back and let love in
Dark purple ribbons filled the sky over the ocean at first light. As the light changed, the swirly ribbons changed to pink then to an intense copper and gold. The flock of seagulls flew in while it was still dark, they looked like perfect silhouettes with their wings open ready to soak in the day.
One of the seagulls leaned back mid air, opened his wings and said, “Go ahead, open your heart and let the love and light in.”
A few pelicans had an intimate sushi breakfast. They bring the message of being ready to spring into action when inspiration strikes. The little fish agreed as they jumped out of the way. “They said, “Planning is good, but sometimes you just gotta go for it.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Sooth your soul
Weeeeeeee! The salty and chilly wind was whipping this morning. The huge full moon was high in the sky as I walked to the beach. The pre sunrise filled the sky with a sweet pretty in pink glow. The moon appeared to soak up the pink and purple colors as it lowered in the sky.
The flock of seagulls and one skimmer flew in when it was still dark. They used the wind to hang in place for the longest time. After sunrise a solo egret came by to grab breakfast too.
The moon and the egret bring us our message today. The moon affects the tides and water on the planet, since the human body is around 60% water, you will most likely feel this full moon.
This moon may help us access our emotions on a deeper level and a bigger way. It brings the message of soothing our soul. It asks us to validate the journey that led us here and nurture ourselves in the way we want to be nurtured by others.
The egret walked by chiming in saying, “I bring the message of staying grounded and solid, especially if the energy feels intense. If things feel challenging, remember, feel your feet and take one step at a time.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Receiving is a gift
Old man winter brought us a wintry sunrise. The cold wind was whipping, blowing the tops of the waves, giving us a ‘Florida Snow’ kind of day. The sparkles from the waves catching the light were breathtaking. Waves were rolling in 3 and 4 at a time.
Tiger the Heermann’s gull was the first bird to show up at first light. He joined us for bath time! I felt like I was bathing with a rockstar. Pelican Highway was extra beautiful today as they cruised along the tops of the waves.
One of the ring billed gulls walked over for a chat. He was wearing bands on his feet from a visit to the bird hospital. He said,”It’s true, the bands make me standout in the flock. I tell my friends that I was glad to have the assistance."
"The humans were very nice to me, and didn’t make me feel bad for needing help. Receiving help is a win win, the helping humans enjoy being supportive and I get to feel better. Now that I’m better, I take it one step at a time, nice and easy.”

Rainy day message of Nature’s healing power
We are having a rainy day here in sunny Florida so I thought I’d share a few photos that didn’t make the morning post along with the inspiration for why I share the daily sunrise.
About 3 months after my husband Roy passed away, I felt him come to me while I was walking our dogs. I was pretty much an inconsolable mess at the time. He said to me, “Remember what we know. See the trees blowing in the wind, feel the breeze on your skin, notice the colors and textures, hear the birds and life moving around you and that will help you feel better.”
As I took in the beauty all around me, I felt better. I started to see the joy and beauty again. My heart relaxed and started to expand again.
I share the daily sunrise because I know the healing power of Mother Nature. Nature can help us feel more centered, calm the nervous system, while showing us beauty, joy and love is everywhere.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
How to help a bad case of the grumps
Mother Nature used soft brush strokes, mixing pink, blue, lavender and copper to give us a breathtaking start to the day. The ocean was calm with perfect waves rolling in 3 at a time.
With just a slight breeze, 45 degrees felt balmy. Piper and her flock were the first to arrive, followed by the flock of seagulls, then the skimmers.
One of the ring billed gulls walked over to have a chat. She was being grumpy with another bird and I asked her why. She said, “Sometimes us birds get grumpy. That’s why my bath time is so important. You see it’s easy for the bugs to build up causing irritation and a short fuse. Shaking them off helps me relax and lighten up. I highly encourage releasing the bugs before they cause a bad case of the grumps.”
Wishing you a bug free day!

A team brings ease and a witness
A crisp and clear morning with a deep array of colors. The flock of seagulls flew in with amazing acrobatic maneuvers just as first light was filling up the sky with an orange glow. High in the sky there was a perfect cloud circle that felt like the Enterprise from Star Trek would fly through at any minute.
Just before the sun came up it looked like a fountain of golden light coming up out of the ocean. When the sun was about half way up, a face appeared on it, looking like it was wearing a mask.
The wind brought a chill to the air but that didn’t stop the flock from getting squeaky clean during our daily bath time. The skimmers joined us for a little rest in between dashing off for short flights in front of the sun. They were in perfect unison, so in tune with each other they were flying as one unit with ease.
They bring us the message teamwork. They said, “Just like a choir, we listen to each other to be in synch. The power that comes from our unison is powerful. Together, we fly with less effort and we have the added bonus of having a witness to the journey.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the lagoon ~ Episode- Baby River Playtime
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Baby River Playtime
Oh my goodness this little nugget is such a cutie pie! I know who she is because she is accompanied by her mom who has a rope entanglement scar. Over time I have watched a handful of babies (calves) play and from what I can tell they love they love to play with anything but they have their favorite toys.
Gypsy loves to play with the pelicans. Indy loves a good leaf, he can play with the same leaf for 30 minutes. Ruby loves to play with her mom, a mangrove seed and the other kids. She is very social.
River, she is so joyful, she loves the mangrove seed and little green pods. She showed me her belly on December 3 confirming she is females. Females have a division sign, while males have an exclamation point on their lower belly. You can see the 3 slits looking like a division sign in the last photo.
Today she played with the pod for 20 minutes, just tossing it up then chasing it and doing it again. Here little nose (rostrum) and mouth would pop up out of the water wide open with the seed in her mouth.
It was like watching a toddler get a case of infectious giggles giggles while playing. I hope you can feel the laughter and joy through the photos.
Stay tuned for more tales!

Lift above the trauma to Inspire others
What a lovely sunrise Mother Nature brought us the morning. The wind was less but still blowing the top of the waves. The waves were rolling on close together looking like a mountain range.
The flock of seagulls, skimmers, royal terns, sandpipers, sandwich terns, a solo egret and willet all flew in to enjoy time together, grooming, resting and snacks. It was fun to watch the different birds hang together.
Piper and her flock were grabbing food. Piper said, “I bring the message of slowing it down to enjoy the moment. You see this moment is creating your next moment, so it’s purposeful to be savor the now.”
A flock of skimmers flew in barking. They said, “We are tired from our journey. We know rest is one of the ways we stay strong and healthy. Balance of movement and rest is necessary for our immune system to be mighty. If you see us in a flock, please don’t run into us to make us fly, we are pooped and need some quiet time.”
And lastly a seagull with a recent injury said,”Join me in lifting up above the trauma to inspire others. Together we are stronger.”
