Rare bird sighting :)

Ahhhh, the morning was cool and the ever-changing sky was dramatic, with clouds, sun, and a calm ocean. Pelican Highway traffic was busy, heading mostly southbound.

While hanging out with One Legger, Pixar, Olive Oil, and the laughing gull flock, I noticed different birds at the edge of the group. Oh my — an American Avocet pair! A rare sighting for sure.

They said, “We are migrating and heard the flock chatting, so we stopped to visit. We bring the message of unexpected arrivals, new connections, and finding companionship along the way."
