You have an important role, Embrace your uniqueness

Mother Nature brought us a heart opening beautiful morning with sweet friends. The flock of gulls flew in just at first light. One legger, Hook and Peg were in the flock, flying with the moon just behind them.

One Legger said, “The new moon will be here on 1/11 but you may already feel the power of its energy. I’m here to encourage using the new moon energy to let go any doubts now so you can step fully into a fresh start. This moon will help you embrace change and move forward with gusto.”

The sun came up, spreading golden rays like a starburst giving the morning a very cheerful vibe.

On my way off he beach, a solo vulture was standing in the grass. He said, “I know not everyone loves me. I look different and I eat dead stuff but I am a very important part of the eco system.”

“I’m a reminder that each of us has an important role to play. Use your differences to help you pursue opportunities. Seize the moment, grab your goal and most of all, hold your head up hight and be proud of your uniqueness.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Lean in

Good Morning! Mother Nature brought us an overcast, wet and windy kind of morning.

I thought I'd share some beauty from last year to start your day. On this day, the dolphins were leaping and snuggling reminding us to lean in and play.

They remind us how just a few moments of laughter and play can create a shift.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Meet in the middle

At first light the soft clouds soaked up an intense and gorgeous pink color show.  The swirly clouds felt like a comforting and  blanket.  The chatty flock flew in for bath time and a little chat.

When the sun came up the color scheme changed to a golden warm cow creating a lovely shimmer on the ocean.  The pink and gold eventually faded, leaving behind a soothing bluish, grey sky.  Pelican Highway looked beautiful as they floated with ease southbound over the waves.

One Legger and friend bring us the message of meeting  in the middle.  They said, “We bring the message of working together in symbiotic relationships.  We know the power of meeting halfway, you see collaboration brings a beautiful unity which helps us not only survive, but thrive.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Let’s get close, One step at a time

Weeeeeee!  Jack Frost was nipping at my nose with the whipping wind coming from the north. The sun came up behind a auburn striped sky, brining it with warmth.

A very chatty flock in before the sunrise and used the wind to hang in place really close.

They said, “We highly recommend getting close, it helps us stay warm and connect. Harness all your resources to help you reach your goal.”

Once they were on they enjoyed a short bath time and rest.  One of the gulls added to the message by saying, “When you feel overwhelmed just keep stopping forward.  Take a deep breath and break it down to one step at a time.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

New Year’s Day Adventure

Tales from a Different Part of the Lagoon ~ Episode -New Years Day Adventure

I like to spend New Years Day in a way that sets the energy for the year. After sunrise I could see the white pelicans in the distance hanging out on an island so I hopped on my paddle board and headed their way.

So many birds! White pelicans, brown pelicans, skimmers, terns, sandwich terns, and sand pipers. They were all flocked together in the sun to rest and keep warm.

I was standing in the water taking the photos when a baby shark swam by and a brown pelican headed right for me. I was surprised to see Rusty my pelican friend fly in and hang out too! And right behind him was Hook, a mature pelican. Those two are inseparable.

On the way home I saw a pod of dolphins too! One of them swam over….it was Uncle Larry! Since I was standing on my board, I was bale to get a photo from above him showing an old shark bite. Uncle Larry is a tough elder dolphin.

A wonderful start to the new year, looking forward to more adventures!

If you see the birds, please don't approach, they are exhausted and need to rest. These photos were taken from a distance. Thank you!

Stay tuned for more tales!

Sweet connections

Mother Nature brought us a sweet and serene sunrise to start the year. With the absence of wind and a a layer of fog, the morning felt cozy. The flock of gulls was already at the edge of the ocean when I arrived. They were quite chatty and ready for bath.

Pelican Highway was gliding down the shore using the perfect waves to carry them with ease while a large flock of skimmers were flewsouthbound. The waves were rolling toward shore with the pink sky as a beautiful backdrop.

The flock and a dolphin bring us the message of sweet connections. They remind us to slow down to connect with our pod mates. By slowing down you can savor the sweetness.

Wishing you a sweet day friends!

Reflect to move forward

AHHHHHH, not a cloud in the orange filled sky as the sun came up to greet the last day of 2023.  The sun seem to take its time giving a lingering kiss good bye as it lifted off to bring warmth to the morning.

A chatty flock flew in with their wings open ready to soak up the sun.  With low tide, the wet sand provided us a reflective feeling and message.

One of the laughing gulls looking inward reminds us to use the last day of the year to reflect on the year so we can move forward with ease and open wings, ready to embrace the next chapter.

Another gull with his wings in the air like a touchdown said, “Celebrate the year, all the highs and lows of the year that shaped who you are.”

THANK YOU for all your support this year. It truly means a lot to me.  I’m truly grateful to be connected to all of you as we share in the love and beauty all around.  Wishing you a prosperous new year in every possible way.

Wishing you a beautiful day!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Close Encounters

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Close Encounters

Yesterday the lagoon was cray! The wind was whipping and the water was choppy.

So many dolphins came to play and grab snacks. At one point there much have been 25 dolphins, they were everywhere, making it hard to know where to point my camera.

I don't know if twas the wind, but they stayed in the water rather than flying out. They were snuggling underneath, popping up occasionally.

So fun to be immersed in their world, up close and personal to the action.

More tales to share from yesterday, so stay tuned!

Stick to your self care routine

With the absence of wind and a clam ocean, the morning was stillness was palpable. Gorgeous clouds hovering kept the morning feeling cozy and beautiful.  Mother Nature used her pastel palette to give us a soothing start to the day.

A chatty flock flew in to connect and enjoy bath time despite cold water.  They bring us the message of sticking to our self care routines even when it doesn’t feel convenient.

They said, “Sure the water and air is cold but we still need to get the bugs off to stay health.  And, getting squeaky clean makes us look beautiful, don’t you think?”

Pelican Highway was very full with long lines of traffic heading southbound using the energy of the waves to carry them with ease.  Skimmers, sand pipers and ruddy turnstones were also enjoying sunrise.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Let the baggage go

The air was crisp and cool as I walked to the beach. Every cell in my body was giddy with anticipation to see the sun again. So many birds were also enjoying the big ball of light. The flock flew in at their usual time for an extended bath time in the sparkly golden light.

Skimmers were sharing Pelican Highway cruising northbound while the pelicans headed southbound.

Skimmers are cool birds, they drag their lower beak through the water scooping up fish. And when they speak they sound like a dog barking.

One of the skimmers said, “ For the last few days of the year, slow it down, savor all the memories and experiences from 2023. Use the energy of the moon to let go of the baggage you no longer need so you can start the new year lighter.”

The man in the moon said, “Embrace the endings. Not to worry, new and wonderful experiences are yours to have.”

Rainy day duck message

We are having a rain day here in sunny Florida. I thought the message of a duck would be a nice way to start the day.

Ducks bring the message of good fortune, prosperity and hope! They remind us to keep plodding along, ready to swim or fly, whatever it takes.

They are deeply devoted to each other, encouraging us to love ourselves and our flock.

Let the moon help you Release the painful experiences of 2023

Mother Nature is in a very moody bluesy kind of mood this week. Looks like the sun will be back in a couple days. With overcast skies, the full moon poked out for a couple of seconds to bring us the message today.

Full moons bring us endings and closure. How perfect, the year is ending with a full moon giving us the energy to release the painful experiences of 2023 so we can start the new year fresh. The moon is situated in the sky that may bring you a lot of emotions.

The man in the moon said, “Let yourself feel your emotions, all of them, take a deep breath and let go. If you feel like reacting, inhale and exhale while taking a moment to understand why.”

"Use my energy to honor you and your needs so you can start the new your with a fresh perspective.”

The gulls said, “We agree! Let go so you can keep your wings and hearts open.”

having a safe place to land

Mother Nature brought us a 100 shades of grey with misty rain and fog. Despite the overcast weather, the sweet and chatty flock flew in to enjoy the morning together.

The photos and message are inspired by one of the gulls this morning who landed on my head and by the bald eagles who come to town in the winter.

The eagle photos are from a day when a bald eagle and an osprey engaged in a high speed chase over a fish. To stay safe, the osprey dropped the fish which happened to be just a few feet away from where II was standing. The eagle swooped down and picked it up! The claws were huge and honestly a bit intimidating.

Bob the seagull who landed on my head this morning said, “Feeling safe is most important. You see, having a nice place to land, helps me stay calm and recharge my battery. When things feel a bit intense and scary, having a safe place to go to is how I survive.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - A Most Magical White Christmas!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - A Most Magical White Christmas!

Dreams do come true! I got to have a special white Christmas, a white pelican Christmas that is. And dolphins too! Thanks to a good friend, I got to see these beauties and have a dog photoshoot too!

Mona dropped me at an Island where I spent about 30 minutes hanging out with all kinds of birds. There must have been at least 70 white pelicans on the island and another 70 on the shore resting.

They are not just gorgeous but also huge! They have the second largest wingspan of any northern bird after the California condor. I find them to be more shy than the brown pelicans who sometimes have no boundaries.

They don’t drive for their food like the brown pelicans but feed by plunging their beak into the water. When they move and feed they do it in perfect harmony as if they are one.

Stay tuned for more tales!

The last one is 1 minute 14 second video where you can see them feeding, riding the current, walking and resting.

Hope from an angel

I went to sunrise but the rain came.....thought I'd share one of my favorite cloud images. A sweet angel hanging her feet just above the sun and ocean.

This time of year can be challenging for those who have grief or feel alone. I hope this photo gives you peace, knowing you have support all around.

Be open and receive love

The sun is back and showing off how beautiful the sunrise can be!  Fluffy clouds soaked up the variety of colors adding to the dramatic landscape.

Just before the sun came out from the clouds it created a beautiful golden funnel, streaming light into the sky giving us a powerful and hopeful vibe to start the day.

The chatty flock flew in early with hearts open just below Venus who was high in the sky.  One of the gulls said, “Keep your heart open when you are on the fly. The more open you are, the more love you can soak up.”

One Leggier as a twin!  They said, “Look for like minded flock mates, they can help you feel understood and less alone.”

See life through the eyes of another

I’m late to post because I was enjoying quality time with Uncle Larry and Jagger a couple of male dolphins friends.  More from them later

Weeeeee, the wind was whipping, coming from the north with a bit of a nip.  The flock flew in with a variety of birds to get sneaky clean after our connection time.

One of the laughing gulls came in close using the wind to hang in place mid air and say hello.  He said, “Utilize the resources around even the ones that might seem like they are working against you.”

A ring billed gull walked over to say hello. I could see the sunrise in her eye bringing us the message of seeing life through the eyes of another.  She went on to say, “This can bring you a new perspective and empathy for what they see.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
