Peace, Balance and Abundance

With a lovely breeze and slightly cooler temperature, the morning felt and looked like fall was visiting for the day. The flock was already at the edge of the ocean waiting when I arrived.

Sunlight wind and waves came together to give us beautiful water art with sparkles dancing into the sky from the tops of wave. The salt spray filled the air feeling good in my lungs.

On the way off the beach there was a solo dove in the sea oats. She stopped and showed me what the sunrise looked like through her eyes. She said, “Perspective can come from seeing the viewpoint of others. I’m also the messenger of peace, look inside yourself for the serenity you seek.”

Much to my surprise I saw 2 kingfishers when I was in the lagoon after sunrise. I was so excited when they started to do a dance mid air! They bring us double the message of abundance, peace and overcoming fear.

They said, “Listen to your dreams and intuition. Look for meaning in the everyday signs. Find ways to create balance in your life to keep you centered when change comes. Abundance is all-around, open your wings to receive with ease.”

Wishing you a magical day friends!

Stand tall with conviction

Mother Nature used the swirly cloud pain brush today to bring us an other worldly looking sunrise. I thought the swirly golden orange circle on the horizon looked like something from a Star Trek episode.

Soft reflections added to the soothing vibe of the morning. The wind was just enough to keep the no see ups away and bring a hint of fall.

Spot the egret flew in close to spend time after sunrise. Spot was given his name by Pip the Pelican for the 3 spots on his toes. Spot is full of personality!

He said, “I’m here to bring the message of making an entrance with flare. You see, I have a lot of confidence which is how I survive. I use my skinny feet to keep me grounded, then I stand tall going forward with conviction in who I am."

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Belly Up to the Sushi bar

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Belly Up to the Sushi bar

Typically the end of July and August is slow, today was the first busy day in quite a while. We had loads of dolphins, manatees, Rusty the pelican and even 3 gulls having a dispute over a fish dinner.

The dolphins were in a very playful mood tossing mangrove seeds and frolicking with each other.  They were zipping around catching fish, then hanging out relaxing and playing.

They engaged with the camera with several coming over to swim by and say hello and toss a mangrove seed my way.

At one time several came up and exhaled at the same time.  The energy of that group breath felt so good.

Manatees were in the deep end munching on the snacks rolling by courtesy of low tide.  The dolphins are very patient when manatees stroll in, they wait from them to pass by before zipping to grab a fish.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Start prepping!

With a cool and refreshing breeze the morning had a hint of the fall in the air. The flock flew in early when the sky was still dark.

Pelican Highway and surfers enjoyed the perfect waves. The sun came up from behind a wall of clouds changing the color theme from soft and sweet to an intense vibrant golden orange.

A surfer caught a sparkly wave while Pelican Highway floated over the waves with ease.

One Legger the inspiring was showing her celebration pose and how she uses her leg to steer and brake.

On the way of the beach a squirrel was very chatty, practically screaming until I stopped to snap her photo.

She said, “I’m here to let you know good things are coming to you. Start prepping for your dreams and visions to manifest from all your hard work. And most important, don’t hoard your nuts!”

Wishing you a groovy day friends!

Lean into your pod mates for support

Ahhhh what a lovely morning starting with rays of pink streaming into the sky at first light. A soft and salty breeze felt good on my skin while I waited for the sun to come up.

The chatty flock of guys flew in with their hearts and wings open soaking up the light.

Surfers were catching the huge waves to the north while Pelican Highway traffic was flying close to the horizon.

After sunrise a couple dolphins passed by for a brief moment playing with each other. They bring us the message of play and support.

They said, “When you feel overwhelmed, lean into your pod mates for support. And break into spontaneous play to shift your mood.”

Harness resources to give you support

Mother Nature brought us a dramatic sunrise with a wall of dark clouds on the horizon and churning ocean and whipping wind.

The clouds kept the morning dark and moody until the sun came up streaming light rays filling the air with hope and promise of a new day despite the surrounding darkness.

A very chatty flock flew in, using the wind to hold in place with little effort.

They said, “We bring the message of using all the resources around you, even the ones that you might want to avoid. You see, if we resist the wind, we struggle. When we harness the wind, it supports us making life easier.”

Dance like no one is wtching to cure the blues

With huge fluffy clouds, Mother Nature brought us an excellent day for the cloud game! So many people, animals and various shapes morphing throughout the morning. The colors were and shapes made it look like another world on the horizon.

Eventually the sun came up through a hole in the clouds sending golden light and warmth into the air. Dolphins swam northbound between the waves that were rolling in pairs.

A reddish egret danced through the shallows looking for breakfast. She said, “My trick to getting my goal is to be fully present in the moment and light on my feet so I am ready to take action. I also think dancing like no one is watching is the cure for the blues.”

Baby Turtles

Good Morning!

I'm away from the sunrise so sharing more hatchling photos. One of the hatchlings is a green turtle, the rest are loggerheads.

The loggerhead babies emerged after sunrise and I was lucky enough to see them emerge. Truly a memory I will always cherish. A grate is placed over each nest by the local Turtle trackers to keep coyotes and other wildlife from getting to the eggs.

The green turtle was from a sunset release by a New Smyrna Beach Turtle Tracker. All work was done under FWC permit.

Each time I see these little nuggets I am reminded of their determination. Despite the odds being against them, they go forward focused ready to face the elements.

Wishing you an inspired day friends!

Stick together when its stomry

Mother Nature brought us a moody bluesy mixed with a hint of pretty in pink stormy kind of sunrise. Although the sun stayed hidden the soft light found a way through to give us hope for a new day.

The best color was at first light surrounded by huge storm clouds. The morning was full of drama with lightning and rain on their horizon.

Large waves churned toward the shore calling to the surfers to come play. A very chatty flock of gulls flew in with their wings and hearts open ready to get squeaky clean. They said, “Even when things are stormy, it’s important to stick together with hearts open.”

Bath time last an extra long time today. We enjoyed being close and intimate while getting the bugs off.

Relax into the waves

With little breeze, the air was still and quiet until the chatty flock flew in for bath time. The almost new moon and Venus were bright in the pink sky before the sun came up.

The almost new moon brings us the energy of new beginnings and fresh starts.

This moon said, “If you have been feeling stuck or sluggish, not to worry, you have been laying the groundwork for what is coming. I am a powerful new moon, ushering in change and transformation on many levels.”

The waves and surfers added to the message. “When the waves feel big, take a deep breath, relax and roll with the current. It's going to work out.”

Stay focused even when the goal is slippery

We started the morning with more pink rays filling the sky at first light. The sliver of a moon and Venus were bright in the sky giving us a powerful energy morning.

A cloud looked like the shape of a puppy but morphed into a shark or a fish…what do you see?

Surfers were coming from every nook and cranny to catch the beautiful waves as the very chatty flock flew in for an extended bath time. They were feeling feisty today breaking into a Top Gun kind of chase over a sushi breakfast.

At one point the lead gull dropped the fish and they all dove straight down in to the water. Another gull came up with the fish and flew by to show off his catch.

He said, “Even when you drop your goal or it seems slippery stay focused. Anything can happen to help you pick it up and run with again.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Jade Almost Splashes the Camera

On this day I was hanging out with Momma Jade and her second baby Opal. This is the second baby of hers I have met since 2019.

Jade is one of the dolphins I have spent the most time with. She often chases fish toward the camera and zooms close by on her way to catch a fish. She is a very affectionate mom. The first time I met her she was with the baby I call Ruby. Ruby was all over her momma giving kisses and snuggles.

Savor connections in all forms

Rays of pink light jetted toward the moon and Venus before the sun came up giving us a hopeful vibe for a new day.

Huge fluffy clouds covered the horizon giving us a fun morning for the cloud game. Sparkly transparent waves rolled toward shore filled with sunlight.

A calm ocean and beautiful color show added to the peaceful vibe. Pelican Highway was jamming in both directions. As the traffic flew over the surfers, they took a moment to connect bringing us the message of the day.

They said, “Connection comes in many forms. All connections are purposeful. It may last for a moment or a lifetime, no matter the time, we recommend soaking it up."

Know when to come out and and when to take cover

Mother Nature used all the crayons in the box this morning to bring us an artsy kind of sunrise. Pink glow filled the sky before the sun came up to greet the day but eventually shifted to a breathtaking gold.

A soft breeze kept the temperature refreshing. Pelican Highway was jamming in both directions enjoying riding the waves with ease.

On the way off the beach I ran into in tortoise who was snacking on some greens. As we were chatting a wasp looking insect flew close to the tortoise as if saying hello. She didn’t like this and retreated into her shell for moment a safety.

She said, “I’m here to encourage you to come out of your shell to enjoy all the wonders of life. If you feel unsafe you can always return to the comfort of you shell until you are ready to come back out and play.”

Dig Deep, you are stronger than you know

A pretty in pink and copper color show lit up the sky at first light. Venus was high in the sky when the flock of gulls flew in around her.

The flock reminds us to tap into the energy of Venus. They said, “Venus is the planet of love and beauty, join us in using her energy to keep your wings and hearts open soaking up all the beauty life has to offer.”

At the same, sharks of all sizes were in the shallows looking for breakfast. One of the larger sharks was a little stuck in the sand and shallow water, gave a nice kick to get herself free.

She said, “You are stronger than you know, dig deep to get yourself free of any obstacles. I also highly recommend going head first in to the waves, not to worry, you got this!”

Wishing you a beautiful day feeling strong!

Adapt to the shifts

With Venus on the horizon and Jupiter next to the moon, the energy felt full of vitality as my feet hit the sand. A nice breeze was blowing the tops of the waves as they rolled toward shore.

Surfers were already catching waves when I reached the edge of the ocean where the flock was waiting to get a bath.

While snapping their photos, a small shark swam by looking for breakfast. The shark said, “I’m here to remind you to move forward, use your sensitivity to know which way to swim. Oh and play in the waves, it’s fun!”

A red shouldered hawk flew overhead saying, “ Honor your visions, they are giving you important intel to know what to do next.”

And if that wasn’t enough a dragonfly who landed on my hand for a couple minutes brings the message of change and good luck. She said, “I’m here to encourage going with the flow of change. Allow yourself to adapt to the shifts of life, it will help you feel lighter and open to lucky happenings.”

And check out the surfer playing in the waves like a dolphin, he was having a blast.

Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up~ Batman Returns

It was a another gorgeous start to the day with a soft breeze and waves sending salt spray into the air as they crashed toward shore.

A very chatty flock flew in from the south with wings and hearts open ready for our daily bath time to get squeaky clean.

The sun came up, kissing the ocean good bye for the day then hid behind a cloud to give us rays of light filling the air with a heart expanding vibe.

Surfers enjoying the waves bring us the message today. The art of surfing is really a way of life. Some days you are sitting on top of the world seeing everything clearly and other days well, the waves are tossing you.

“Surrender, go with it. Even when you fall, relax into it. Falling is all part of the experience.”

One of my favorite lines from Alfred the butler in the movie Batman Returns is, “Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.” Keep the faith, you got this!

Cuddles can lower stress

With a strong breeze, energetic Ocean and fluffy clouds the morning vibe felt like it was infused with power.

A very chatty and large flock of gulls flew in early, having in place before heading to the ocean for bath time.

The sun came up with 3 rays of light streaming into the sky filling the air with hope of a new day.  Clouds soaked up the array of colors while surfers caught waves in the sparkly waves.

One Legger flew by saying, “Accept your perceived limitations by embracing your strengths so you can join me in flying to the moon!”

After sunrise 2 turtles were cuddling in the shallow water of the Indian River.  They said, “A few moments of cuddling can lower your stress level and make you feel warm and fuzzy.  We highly recommend a moment of connection to create a shift.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Getting to Know a New Dolphin Kiddo

Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Getting to Know a New Dolphin Kiddo

Yesterday a momma and her calf came into the lagoon and stayed for 3 hours. I’ve seen this momma before but this was the first time spending time with her calf.

For the first 45 minutes the baby stayed close to the mom. The little one would follow the mom while she grabbed fish, then they would rest and looked like they were nursing.

Momma came over and checked me out for a long while then after that the baby was free to roam and explore the lagoon. It was as if I was reunited with an old friend.

When Momma went to get fish, often the baby would stay close to me, I said to the mom I was happy to babysit.

At one point, the little one grabbed a mangrove seed and swam over close tossing it around showing off her/his personality. When 2 pelicans arrived the baby went to play with them which is always a hoot!

The baby swam under the pelicans giving them a little boop with his/her nose (rostrum) which made the pelicans fly a few feet away until the baby dolphin gave them another boop and the pelicans would fly a few feet away again. This went on for 30 minutes, until the pelicans left….they don’t love that game very much.

The ladies on the dock named this sweet pair. Mom is Nona and the baby is Nonni. I look forward to hanging out with them again.

And if that wasn't enough manatees were coming and going avoiding the boat traffic looking for a quiet place to smooch.

Stay tuned for more tales!
