Connect to the earth for solace
Mother Nature is definitely in a moody blues kind of mood this week bringing us another dark and sultry kind of sunrise.
The chatty flock of gulls flew in when was still dark ready for bath time. Some of the regular winter birds seem to be returning early! Maybe that means we will see One Legger, Hook and Tiger earlier this year.
The sun came up for a just a brief moment before hiding behind the wall of clouds. For couple minutes the shapes of people appeared in the sun. Let me know if you see anyone or anything in the photos.
Walking home after the sunrise I ran into an armadillo digging for grub. She said, “I’m here to encourage you to connect to the earth. Both dirt and water can help you feel centered in the midst of chaos. Like the dolphin last night, go ahead play in the mud, it will help you feel grounded."
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Leave room for spontaneous play
Ahhhh, a soothing bluesy kind of sunrise with a thick wall of clouds on the horizon.
The flock of gulls flew in when it was still dark with their wings and hearts open.
Everyone was playing in the waves today! A couple sharks were close to shore cruising by in the waves looking for snacks and seemed to be enjoying letting the waves wash over them.
2 surfers were on my left when a couple dolphins came from the right and joined them in the waves. The dolphins bring the message of spontaneous play with unexpected connections.
They dolphins said, “We highly recommend being spontaneous. We find it helpful not to plan everything so there is space to be free and flow with what your heart desires.”
Wishing you a beautiful day filled with playful moments.

Your legs are a great way to stay grounded
Mother Nature bought us an other worldly sunrise with a cloud city on the horizon. Rain streamed form the clouds, as Pelican Highway glided passed by.
One pelican flew by with his wings hanging and said, “When you feel tattered, relax your wings and let yourself have a moment of rest. Even 60 seconds of hang time can refill your battery.”
The calm ocean looked like a lake with a pink silky blanket giving it a captivating texture. As the sun came up behind the clouds it made a funnel of light filling the morning with a hopeful vibe.
After sunrise I spent time with a tricolored heron who said, “Your feet and toes are very important! They are the anchors to keep you grounded so you feel solid, ready to take on what comes your away. And when I have an itch, boy do they give me a scratch!”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

It’s always fun to see who shows up! The dolphins and pelican shenanigans are starting to wind down until the fall.
The elite athlete pelicans love to go after the fish trying to get away from the dolphins. The dolphins enjoy teasing the birds by tossing fish and being playful.
So many turtles this time of year, and it never gets old when they pop up just a few feet away.
Stay tuned for more tales!

Give yourself a little wiggle
Another beautiful day in paradise with gorgeous sky art and lovely colors. A nice breeze and calm ocean gave us a serene sunrise.
The chatty flock of gulls flew in early with wings and hearts open. One of the birds leaned back with his feel out reminding us to lean back and soak up the moment. Then we went into the water for some much needed bath time.
The gulls said, “Self care is an important part of our day. Bath time is how we get the bugs off so we can stay healthy. Join us in getting squeaky clean to boost your immune system.”
After sunrise I ran into Ozzie and Harriet, a pigeon couple who live in the pontoon of a boat. They said, “ Not to worry, you are never really stuck in a ‘pigeon hole.’ If you feel trapped or stuck, take a deep breath, give yourself a little wiggle, and trust the timing.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Lean into your strengths
My apologies for being away from the sunrise, I was taking care of my pod mate.
Ahhhhh, A lovely sunrise with gorgeous sky art with fluffy clouds and gorgeous colors. So many colors from a light pink to a deep golden glow.
The flock of gulls came flying down the beach at their usual time to say good morning and watch the sunrise together. Pelican Highway traffic was heavy, flying mostly southbound stopping for snacks at the rest stop.
Luna the osprey who I haven’t seen in about 6 months was back on her boat perch! So good to see her again. When I walked up to her I said, “Welcome back! How are Luna? ” She showed me she still has an injured left foot.
She said, “It’s nice to be back! It’s true, I still have a boo boo foot but I’m doing quite well. I have learned how to fish and stand leaning more on my other foot. I’m here to encourage adapting to your current situation. I fins it's helpful to lean into your strengths.”

Rusty with a message for Shelley
Hi! My name is Rusty the Pelican. Usually Penny the pelican makes the announcement about Shelley being away…. but she asked me to!
This was a surprise because I’m new to the crew but I am in charge of Shelley’s gear when she is away. It’s kinda heavy so I just stand on it to keep it safe. Sometimes I step on the button and take photos too.
Shelley said to let you know she will be away for a few days to care for and support her pod mate.
As she flew out the door she said, “Make sure you let everyone know how much I appreciate their support!”

Shark Sunrise
I never want to inspire fear, especially about sharks, they were so beautiful this morning and not interested in my toes or ankles.
At one point 3 swam by together, that was a first for me, usually I see them solo.
Watching them glide through the water felt so serene. Relax, glide, go with the flow.
Spontaneity to keep life fresh
Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.
Another beautiful start to the day with expansive sky art courtesy of fluffy clouds and heart opening colors.
A small flock flew in before sunrise but didn’t stay long. Sharks played in the waves looking for breakfast while light traffic on Pelican Highway flew southbound.
A pelican couple on the highway gave a good stretch mid flight showing how graceful they are.
Two dolphins rolled around in the waves further out. When one popped up, he said, “Spontaneity is a great way to keep life fresh.”
Several egrets were hunting for breakfast as the waves rolled in. An egret with her wings spread said, “I’m a reminder to dance with with your wings and her open.”

A different angle can bring a new perspective
As I walked to the beach a frog chorus was singing loudly. The sky was filled with a soft pink before the sun came up bringing with a golden glow.
So much wildlife this morning! A manatee floated by in the ocean and was surrounded by 2 sharks. Those 2 sharks were joined by several more who were also looking for breakfast.
The flock of gulls flew in later than usual and were feeling extra frisky lifting up in front of the sun with our message for the day. “We bring the message of perspective. Sometimes it helps to look at things from a different angle to get new information or inspiration.”
“We also recommend leaning back with your wings and heart open to soak up the sunlight. It will keep you feeling light and hopeful.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from The Lagoon ~ Episode - Redfish, Flounder and Snook!
This post was inspired by the fishing vibe the past couple days with 48 hour snapper season happening.
A friend on Instagram has counted how many types of fish the dolphin have posed with over the years. I think we are up to 17!
They also play with toys found in nature....I'll post those one day soon. Never gets old hanging with my flippered friends!
Stay tuned for more tales!

Lift up to see bigger picture
The morning started off dark and cozy with fluffy clouds soaking up the pastel colors before the sun came up to free the day. The flock of chatty gulls flew in to enjoy bath time and connection.
Sharks looked for breakfast in the waves. While I was photographing the waves a gorgeous red shouldered hawk flew in and landed on a pole also looking for breakfast.
The shark and hawk bring us a combo message. The shark said, “I’m here to encourage taking action, swim forward to create opportunities.”
The hawk said, “I agree with the shark about taking action. And I would add to pay attention to messages and signs to know how and when to take action. Go ahead, spread your wings, let the energy lift you up to see the bigger picture.”

Confidence is the new sexy
WOW! Mother Nature brought us a sultry start to the sunrise with a gorgeous dark and cozy start to the sunrise. The clouds soaked up every color adding to the heart expanding vibe.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in for bath time along with a couple egrets. Surfers were also flocking to he ocean to catch a wave. As the waves rolled in they were also soaking up the amazing light show.
An osprey was gliding above looking for snacks. It took her a couple of attempts before scoring breakfast. She brought it to a nearby pole to rest and eat.
Looking very proud and confident she said, “Strutting your stuff is a good thing. You see, confidence is how I am able to dive over and over again and not feel defeated. So go ahead, work it, own it.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

A Quick Hello!

The dolphin I call M and his friend were snuggling just a few feet away when M pops up to say hello. The boys were extra cute the passed couple days, stay tuned for more.
Relax and trust the timing
Mother Nature created beautiful sky art today with fluffy clouds and using all the crayons in the box. The ocean was more active today, churning out some great surfing waves. The surfers answered the call and were coming out of every nook and cranny to catch a ride.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in early and we went straight for bath time while Pelican Highway was jamming southbound.
The highway brings us the message of riding the energy of flow. They said, “Not to worry if you can’t find your flow, another wave will be along just when you need it. Relax and trust the timing.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Plan, Recharge, then Leap!
Before the sun came up the sky was full of huge fluffy clouds, soaking up the pastel colors. A face appeared in one of the clouds and stayed for a long while.
The almost new moon was high in the sky surrounded by soft clouds. In general, the energy of the new moon can be felt 3 days before and after.
The new moon said, “The way I am situated in the sky may have you feeling more emotional. Trust what you feel and let the feelings guide you forward. I’m here to encourage you to go inward, plan, recharge and be open to beginning a new chapter.
Fish were jumping everywhere! One of the fish flying out of the water said, “I know what it is like to feel like a small fish in a big ocean but that doesn’t stopping me from flying. Come on, let’s leap!”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Dolphin, Osprey and Manatees, Oh My!
July and August tend to be a little less dolphin action so in the past week I had just a little interaction with my flippered friends.
One of the male dolphins I know well grabbed a little snapper (I think) and swam by nice and slow so I could snap his photo with his catch.
An osprey flew in, landing on a boat at the dock which was perfect spot to look for snacks.
So many manatees! At least 8 manatees sauntered by looking for a nice place to stop and rest.
Stay tuned for more tales!

Use your Sensitivity and intuition to guide you forward
It was another serene and wonderful sunrise with so many sweet colors. The pre sunrise sky filled with a deep pink as the flock of gulls flew in to say hello.
The waves soaked up the light creating beautiful art. Pelican Highway traffic was heavy flying in both directions. They were gliding above the waves letting the energy carry them down the shore with ease.
A pretty large stingray was hanging out on the sandbar in the waves. She said, “I’m very sensitive and trust what I feel to help me know what to do next."
"Sometimes I need to take cover to rest and keep safe, other times I need to move forward quickly. I’m a reminder to trust your intuition to guide you forward.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Play can give you more zest
Mother Nature used the swirly paint brush filling the sky with soft fluffy brush strokes soaking up the beautiful colors.
The cloud shapes were breathtaking! Tell me what you see? A condor, an eagle, OR?
The ocean was calm except for perfect waves rolling in close to shore. Sharks and tarpon were hanging out close to the beach while the dolphins were further out hunting breakfast.
Before the sun came up, a dolphin leaped out of the water! I was following him as he was chasing fish then all of sudden, pop goes the dolphin. He said, “ I bring the message of taking time to play! Be spontaneous! Play can shift your mood and the energy, giving you more zest in your step.”
Wishing you a playful day friends!
