Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Sarabi Versus 6 Pelicans
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Sarabi Versus 6 Pelicans
Yesterday in the 25 mile hour winds and white caps, Momma Sarabi, Momma Jade, Daniko, Cutter and a few other dolphins were enjoying lots of fishing.
Her calf would wait for her to grab a fish then they would meet up and swim around together. Or the baby would wait with another adult dolphin while mom went to grab snacks.
It’s been quite a treat getting to know her this year. Not only is she a great athlete and powerful fisher girl, she is social with all the dolphins, a patient mom and kind enough to interact with the camera.
More from her and Momma Jade coming soon! Stay tuned!
Lift each other up
The rain left behind cooler temperatures and clear skies. An orange glow filled the sky before the big ball of light came up to greet the day.
Skimmers flew northbound as the flock of laughing gulls flew in from the south. Pelican highway was using the perfect waves to fuel them down the beach with ease.
When the gulls arrived they were darting off and back in front of the sun. A gull couple looked like they were holding wings as they lifted up saying, “We are here to encourage sharing the journey as a way of lifting each other up.”
2 of the laughing gulls had a lively conversation about the weekend. They said, “Sharing our day brings us closer and gives us strength."
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

open to beautiful connections, both brief and ongoing.
With severe weather looming, since turtle season got an early start I thought it would be fun to post photos from my favorite Momma Turtle.
These photos were taken on the morning of June 3, 2020 just after sunrise. She has just finished laying her eggs and was trekking back to the ocean. The amazing New Smyrna Beach Turtle Trackers were on the scene to monitor her and keep her safe.
This was one of the most powerful wildlife experience I have ever had. As she walked back to the ocean she stopped and turned, looking right at the camera. When she looked at me, I was overwhelmed with emotions. In that brief moment I felt like I had a glimpse into her world. What a formidable, wise, beautiful and loving Being.
She brings us the message of being open to beautiful connections, both brief and ongoing.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
A message of courage
Mother Nature brought us a spring time sunrise with a pretty in prink sky and with soft and sweet clouds. The flock of gulls flew in early enjoying some much needed bath time while the sun came up.
Skimmers, terns and ruddy turnstones were in the mix too. Pelican Highway traffic was jamming, stopping often to grab snacks at a rest stop.
4 pelicans in perfect formation near a channel marker bring us one of the messages. ‘We are here to remind you that things are lining up. Look for the guideposts to let you know which way to go.”
A little bird called a sandwich tern was diving into the large waves for snacks brings us the second message. “I’m here to bring the message of courage. No matter how small you feel or how big the waves are, not to worry, you are stronger than you know. Stay focused, trust yourself and embrace your inner sandwich tern.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Things are lining up
With heavy rain over night the morning air was cool and fresh. Mother Nature used her pastel color palette bringing us a lovely work of art to start the day. Gorgeous waves rolled toward shore calling the surfers to come play.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in as the sun was coming up. They stopped to soak up the beauty reminding us to savor the moment.
After sunrise Momma Jade and baby Opal came in to grab a quick bite along with a couple pecans. A pelican and mullet passed for a photo together. They bring the message of expecting unexpected connections and moments.
The fishy who got away went on to say, “You can trust in the timing. People, Places and things are lining up behind the scenes to support you and your path.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
PS~If you have friends who are not on social media, I share the morning sunrise and Tales from the Lagoon in my blog which you can reach by clicking on blog on my website.

Connection feeds the soul
Inhale, Exhale, Repeat. It was a lovely sunrise with sweet loving energy. The beauty was reflected on the wet sand adding to the beauty.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in hot with their brakes fully engaged ready to enjoy the sunrise and bath time. One of the gulls floated by with her head up saying, “Stay loose, go with ease, everything will work out one way or another.”
Pip the pelican, Momma Jade a dolphin with her latest calf Opal, Spot an egret, Mikey a great egret, turtles, manatees, cormorants and more pelicans were all chilling in the calm lagoon after sunrise.
They said, “We are enjoying relaxing before the storm comes. We encourage taking time to enjoy each other.”
A pelican (not Pip) came up close and said, “I agree, closeness comes in many forms and feeds the soul.”
Wishing you beautiful day with lovely connections.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Reunited at Sunset
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Reunited at Sunset
I was pretty excited to see Charley and M along with 3 other dolphins who came into the lagoon for sunset. I haven’t seen them in a couple months so this was quite a treat!
Within a couple minutes, Charley came over to say hello then went off to grab fish. Later M stayed hung out with me while the others went to grab fish. What a special sunset.
The sunset was stormy and lovely too! Stay tuned for more tales!
Rest to stay strong and centered
With storms all around, Mother Nature brought us another dramatic sunrise. The sun found a way to peek through the clouds sending out amber light rays. The vibe was sweet and hopeful.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in hot and chatty, darting back and forth with the wind. We skipped bat time again today but enjoyed hanging out soaking up the beauty.
After sunrise Rudy the immature pelican was hanging on the dock. He brings us the message of rest. He said, “The wind has been blowing a lot lately. I need time to rest so I can stay strong and not get blown around. I recommend resting in nature to keep you feeling centered.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Sleepy
Relax, lean back
AHHHHHHH, Mother Nature brought us a dramatic and gorgeous sunrise. The beauty of the fluffy clouds reflecting on the wet sand made my heart expand.
The clouds shapes were mesmerizing especially when the sun came up in a perfect opening in the clouds.
The breeze felt soft on my skin. A chatty but small flock of gulls flew in accompanied by a larger flock of ruddy turnstones. They were all looking for breakfast forgoing our usual bath time.
After sunrise a couple pelicans and dolphin were hanging out. One of the dolphins said, “Relax, lean back. No matter how busy you are, remember to lean into the moment and soak up the beauty. We find it’s a good recipe for health and well being.”
Wishing you a day filled with heart opening beauty!

Dive in!
A thick layer of fluffy clouds covered the shoreline like a cozy blanket. Wind was whipping bling the sand and adding to the churning ocean. It looked more like a winter sunrise than spring time.
The flock of gulls flew in and hung out in place courtesy of the wind. Some of them were struggling not to get blown over from the gusts.
When the sun cam up, it peeked through the clouds with streaming golden amber light rays. After sunrise there was a sushi rave with the pelicans and a few dolphins.
The pelicans were rapid fire diving bringing us the message of taking action. They said, “We highly recommend diving in. Whether you catch your fish or not, go for it! Afterward, give yourself a good shake, got the stress or confusion off and go again. Stay committed and let the magic unfold.”
Wishing you beautiful day friends!
PS~ The post from yesterday is the previous post, my apologies for being late.
Give yourself a good shake
Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Communication and Gender Reveal
Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Communication and Gender Reveal
Yesterday morning after sunrise, it was overcast when I hopped in the lagoon at high tide. Momma Sarabi and her latest calf were in the lagoon along with a few other dolphin.
Last year April 15, Momma Sarabi and Simba her other baby who was around a year old came into the lagoon at high tide. On that day I said, “Hey Momma! Can you help me know if Simba is a boy or girl?
A few minutes later, Simba with some assistance from momma came flying out of the water in perfect form, showing his belly to confirm he was a male. Click the link to see Simba on my website, he is in the baby dolphin gallery.
I was inspired by the high tide to ask again. “Hey Momma! Can you help this baby come out of the water like you did with Simba?”
A few minutes later, The baby started to pop out of the water and even showed his belly!! He looks to be a boy! Male dolphin have one long slit and a smaller slit like an exclamation point. The females have one long slit and two smaller slits like a division sign.
Around 10 minutes later, Momma and the baby swam over to my left about 15 feet away and came out of the water! I thanked Sarabi and the baby several times. They stayed and played for about an hour enjoying the company of the other dolphins.
Any male name suggestions if we stick with the Lion King theme? Sarabi, Simba and ?
Stay tuned for more tales!

The pelicans were on top of the dolphin like glue just waiting to snatch up a fish escaping the dolphin chase or hoping the dolphin will toss them a fish.
Usually the immature brown pelicans don’t get in the mosh pit but Eddy the young pelican has been in the mix all week. The immature pelicans are all brown with a white belly. The mature pelicans have white and yellow heads and their belly changes too. Eddy has been doing quite well keeping up with the pelican pros.
One of the mullet flung himself out of the pelicans pouch and swam away with gusto. Can you hear the story he told his school when he found them?
Stay tuned for more tales!

Loosen your grip to feel secure
A salty fish scent filled the air courtesy of seaweed washing ashore. A lovely breeze and churning ocean gave us an invigorating vibe to start the day.
The sun came up with a gorgeous golden glow filling the sky bringing warmth and hope of a new day. A small flock of gulls flew in early to enjoy a nice bath while the sun came up.
On my way off the beach, a squirrel stopped in front of me and started posing. He was very engaging and had lots to say. He said, “Relax, loosen your grip. No need to hold on so tightly to feel secure.”
With the reflection of the morning in his eyes he said, “To have compassion for others, it helps to see how they view the world. Oh, and don’t hoard your nuts, you’ll find more.”

Know when to be passive and when to take action
The wind was blowing as I walked to the beach. Soft fluffy clouds soaked up the sweet pink and purple colors before the sun came up bringing us a lovey golden glow.
The chatty flock of gulls was feeling frisky, dashing here and there quickly. They said, “Be open to stopping and changing directions. Fluidity is a great way to navigate any bumps on your path.”
After sunrise I saw an opossum crossing the sidewalk in search of breakfast. She said. “ I bring the reminder of knowing when to be passive and when to take action. You can surprise yourself by coming out of the shadows, stepping into success.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Perspective gives new frame of mind
AHHHHHH, Mother Nature used all the soothing colors to create an exquisite cloud painting in the sky. The breeze was light and salty. The flock of gulls flew in for bath time and just in time for the sun to come up.
They said, “We bring the message of perspective. We float above to get a different view of things. You see, we know life can feel messy and challenging, so using the bird’s eye view can create a change your frame of mind.”
“And walking on a little sunshine with our wings and hearts open always makes everything better.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sharing is Caring
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sharing is Caring
Momma Jade and Momma Sarabi were feeding themselves and the pelicans along with some much needed and relaxing.
On this day, the momma dolphins were feeling generous and either tossing or leaving a fish for the pelicans. I believe the dolphins intentionally give the pelicans fish every now and then.
I have seen the dolphins watch the pelicans duke it out over the fish they just tossed. Other times, it seems they just want to share and toss the fish a solo pelican or group.
Stay tuned for more tales!
Dolphin under the pelicans tossed the fish up to the pelicans. Do you think the pelican got it?
Who got it?
He got it!
Hit the ground running
With a chill in the air and a cloudless sky, the sunrise was sleek and simple kind of beauty. As I was waiting for the sun to come up, the flock of laughing gulls flew in from the ocean just in time to see the sunrise.
Out of the blue, a huge flock of sandpipers came dashing in, literally hitting the ground running when they arrived. They brought in a fun and peppy energy. The gulls and pipers merged making one large flock as they darted back and forth in front the of sun.
The birds said, “We bring the message of working together to reach a common goal. Trust you will know when to hit the ground running, taking flight to get things moving. Not to worry, you will also know when to hang out, soaking up the love and light with your wings and hearts open.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Good Day to be a duck
No sunrise this morning....It's raining here in sunny Florida, a good day to be a duck.
Within you a beautiful day friends!
Stay tuned for a new episode of tales from the Lagoon.
New Moon opens new doors
Mother Nature brought us a pretty in pink mixed with some moody blues to give us a serene sunrise. A small flock of gulls flew in for our usual bath time.
The calm ocean and absence of a breeze made the morning extra peaceful. After sunrise a few pelicans and dolphins were grabbing breakfast. The dolphin tossed the pelican a fish bringing the message of sharing with friends.
The almost new moon is 3 days away. Usually the energy of a new moon can be felt 3 days before and 3 days after the new moon. This one is accompanied by a solar eclipse which means it may amplify your emotions.
The new moon brings the message taking time to focus on your desires. “Use my energy to set intentions and take action toward your goals. Be open to new doors opening and the possibility of surprises bringing freshness. Not to worry if somethings fade away, it’s just making space for the new.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
