DON’T GIVE UP JUST BEFORE YOU REACH YOUR GOAL
What a sweet and powerful morning Mother Nature brought to us today. Huge fluffy clouds soaked up the pastel colors adding to the beauty. The breeze coming from the north was refreshing and salty.
A chatty flock of gulls flew in hanging in place with the gorgeous clouds as their backdrop. The energy felt expansive like anything is possible.
A chatty crow flew in to say, “No! Don’t give up just before you reach your goal. There is a great transformation happening within you right now. Trust that your life history has prepared you for this momentous change. You go this!”
Pelican Highway was gliding high above in the thermals. 2 pelicans, one mature and a youngin’ looked to be holding hands as they gently floated overhead. They said, “No matter your differences, life is sweeter together. Let’s go together.”
“Hold my hand and we're halfway there. Hold my hand and I'll take you there, Somehow, Some day, Somewhere!” ~Music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Align yourself with what your heart desires
With wind whipping and a heavy layer of fluffy clouds the morning was dark and chilly. The flock of gulls flew in early able to hang in place with the assistance of the wind.
After sunrise, a really fun wildlife party was happening, with dolphins, turtles, pelicans falling from the sky like rain as they grabbed snack and a manatee!
The pelicans showed off their individual personalities as they followed the dolphins around the lagoon, slamming on the brakes to line up over the fish.
They bring the message of taking a moment to align yourself with what your heart truly desires. We recommend stopping, assessing then going for it. Oh, and have fun!
Within you a groovy day friends!
Errrrrrrr, using both brakes
And, stretch
Be Open to unexpected magical connections
Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.
Mother Nature used her soft and swirly paint burns this morning giving us a sweet start to the day. Low tide added to the beauty by reflecting the majestic painting on the wet sand.
The absence of a breeze made the morning even more serene. A chatty flock of gulls flew in at their usual time to enjoy bath time in the warm water.
The ocean was calm making it easy to see the dolphin hanging with the surfers. The dolphins bring us the message of being open to unexpected magical connections that bring joy.
Wishing you a wonderful day friends!
Fully commit
Mother Nature brought us another sweet and salty sunrise with huge fluffy clouds on the horizon soaking up the paste colors. When the sun came up, it lit up the clouds and ocean with an orange glow.
A small flock of gulls flew in to enjoy bath time. They said, “Now that the weather is warming up, we will be leaving for the summer soon.”
After sunrise a maternity pod of dolphins came in to enjoy a relaxing morning. The moms and calves were enjoying rolling around and chilling in the calm water.
An osprey and Rusty the pelican bring its a message of commitment. Rusty said, “I believe in flying in with my wings and heart open. This way the person knows I am ready to love and be loved.”
The osprey added to the message saying, “For me it’s about staying focused and then going all in. I don’t always catch my fish, but my chances are better if I am fully committed. I am careful not to let any missed opportunities deter me from trying again.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Coexist to thrive
Ahhhhh, another magical painting by Mother Nature. This morning she used her pastel color palette to create a soothing sunrise. A cozy layer of fog added to the serenity. With little breeze and a calm ocean every cell in my body matched my peaceful surroundings.
A small flock of gulls flew in with their hearts and wings open ready for bath time while the pink ball of light came up through the haze.
After sunrise a pod of dolphins came in to have a playful breakfast. Momma Sarabi, her calf Simba and 2 others were enjoying making waves while grabbing mullet in the shallows. A couple cormorants, turtles and 2 pelicans joined in the fun.
The dolphins said, “We bring the message of community and play. We hang in pods and also with other marine life because coexisting is a part of life. Fishing together helps everyone thrive.”
We know the power of play and joy and how they can give your immune system and mood a boost. Join us and let’s play!”
Wishing you a fun filled day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Daniko Schooling the Pelicans
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Daniko Schooling the Pelicans
Yesterday 4 pelicans and Daniko the dolphin were having out grabbing snacks. The pelicans were grumpy with each other. At one point, a yellow headed pelican was picking on the white headed pelican showing him who was boss.
Well, Daniko didn’t like that so he came up to the yellow headed pelican, lunging at him giving him a good bump.
Then they went on with their morning grabbing fish and making hug splashes. Oh the drama!
Stay tuned for more tales!

Pause and soak in the moment
WOWIE! Mother Nature used every crayon in the box this morning to bring us a spectacular sunrise. Soft clouds soaked up the color show adding to the wonder of the morning.
The flock of gulls flew in just as the sun came up to to brighten our day. We enjoyed some much needed bath time. One of the gulls spread her wings and said, “Go ahead, open up to the sunlight, soak up the warmth and healing energy to help brighten your mood.”
After sunrise a solo pelican was looking for breakfast in the lagoon. He stopped mid flight, paused and said, “I agree with the gull, open your wings, pause and soak in the moment. Savoring every detail of the moment makes life extra sweet.”
Wishing you a groovy day friends!

Walk like an egret
Mother Nature brought us a serene sunrise with a calm ocean and a light breeze. With a soft layer of salty fog, the morning was extra cozy and warm.
The flock of gulls flew in later than usual in front of the golden sun. One of the laughing gulls flew over Buddy the herring gull and said, “Buddy looks really big when I am standing next to him but when I fly above and look down everything changes. When you change the angle you view a person or situation, it can give you a new perspective. I highly recommend it!”
An egret joined the flock too! He said, “Just take it one step at a time. Us egrets are pretty confident birds. Go ahead, embrace your inner egret, let your confidence come through, even if you are not sure where you are going.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - HAPPY One YEAR ANNIVERSARY PIP!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY PIP!
Hi Everyone, it’s me Pip the Pelican! If you are just tuning in, it has been quite a year! I survived because a lot of people cared about me. My success story is one filled with love and compassion.
Can you believe it, Shelley has 2000 photos of me!
I am a brown pelican who got into trouble a year ago today when I tried to eat a filleted sheepshead, they are very boney fish and it got stuck like a porcupine in my pouch.
It was very scary having the fish stuck, it took a few days for help to arrive so I sat on the beach not knowing what to do.
Thankfully, 6 Hoomans came to my rescue. They held me with care. While holding open my pouch for what seemed like forever, they reached in with lots of fingers and hands, unhooked the fish from my spongy pouch, turned it and pulled it out! I like finger mullet but all those Hooman fingers were a bit much!
I was really weak after the fish was out. I couldn’t fly or eat on my own. The bird hospital was closed so they told Shelley to feed me! Best thing ever!!! It took me 10 days to be able to fly and then I could only fly short distances.
A few months after the pokey fish I got pretty sick. Shelley, found a rehab place for me about 70 miles north of my home in New Smyrna Beach. That was when I had my first car ride. While there, I spent 5 days bellied up to the all you can eat sushi bar.
When they let me go, I could have stayed, and had free food but I was homesick so I flew home. Everyone was so surprised I knew how to get back on my own. You see, I’m pretty smart, and knew I just had to follow my heart to reach my home.
I had an injured leg when I arrived but Shelley took care of me while I rested on my pole for a couple weeks.
Since then, I have been feeling pretty good. I still visit Shelley a few times a week. I don’t like string her with those young pelicans, Rusty and Eddy.
My neck is still crooked from the pokey fish, so I fly different than the other pelicans. I hold my head up rather than back and streamlined. It makes me easy to spot in a crowd.
I’m grateful for all your love and support throughout the year. Shelley has told me all your kind words, and I want you to know, you truly gave me wind beneath my wings to keep going.
THANK YOU!
Love PiP

This is me now. Check out those baby blues! Hubba hubba :)
This is me now too! I’m still changing colors as I mature.
Gratitude creates a shift
YAY! The sun is back and it brought warmth and a lovely golden glow to start the day. A small flock of gulls flew in to enjoy some much needed bath time.
When the sun came up they started squawking like a choir. It seemed as if they were also celebrating the return of the visible sun.
As they lifted up with the wings and hearts open they said, “It’s true, we celebrate the sun for many reasons. Gratitude is a great way to shift our mood. We highly recommend keeping your wings and hearts open, a great way to lift you up out of the blues.”
Rusty and Eddy the pelican duo were in the river after sunrise. They spend every day together, even though they are besties who fish and rest together, sometimes they squabble. The good news is they don’t hurt each other, just express their frustrations and move on.”
Wishing you an open hearted day!

Pretty In Pink Play
This morning was a moody bluesy sunrise with fog so I decided to share some pretty in pink playful dolphin energy instead.
Wishing you a joyful day friends!
Tales from the Lagoon - Episode ~ Serious Splash Zone
Tales from the Lagoon - Episode ~ Serious Splash Zone
This dolphin was charging toward the camera with 3 pelicans in tow. With wind and choppy water the splash seemed extra big.
If you click through the photos you can get a feel for the action unfolding.
As you can see the mature pelicans are tenacious athletes, able to navigate the splash and wind staying on top of the dolphin in hopes of catching a fish.
You can see in the last photo, the pelicans were not able to grab a snack on this round but are in the ready position to go again.
Stay tuned for more tales!
PS ~ Sunrise for Tuesday is the previous post
Powerful New Beginnings
Weeeeeeee! It’s windy and gorgeous this morning. Streaming golden light and rain mixed together to bring us a beautiful dramatic sunrise.
The churning ocean and strong current brought us a feeling of vitality. The flock of gulls flew in using the wind to hang in place and chat.
Today is the day of the new moon and although it isn’t visible, it is working behind the scenes to bring us the energy and opportunities for fresh starts. This new moon is extra powerful and may feel like the new year is finally getting started.
Since the moon represents our emotions, this powerful new moon asks us to identify our emotions regarding new beginnings.
The moon said, “I invite you to use my energy to fuel your desires, I’m primed and ready to assist you in manifesting the new beginnings your heart desires.”
Within you a beautiful day friends!
Flying in Hot!
Savor the moment to manifest
Mother Nature brought us a chilly wintry kind of sunrise. With a cloud wall on the horizon, the sun came up later than usual.
Chilly, wet wind was blowing the tops of the waves sending sparkly crystals into the air.
The flock of gulls flew in obeying the speed limit. One Legger and Peg were in the flock, coming in close to say hello.
They said, “We bring the message of pacing yourself. Take life at a speed where you can be present. You see, this moment is creating your next moment, carrying you forward. Savoring the moment can help you manifest your next adventure."
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Rainy day rainbows
With rain ending just before sunrise, it was a 50 shades of grey, windy and cold start to the day.
Instead of stormy sunrise photos, I thought some of my favorite rainbow images would bring some joy and hope to start your day.
Wishing you a hopeful day friends! thought some of my favorite rainbow images would bring some joy and hope to start your day.

Be the example for the youth
Ahhhhhh, a pretty in pink pre sunrise sky filled the sky with swirly clouds. A cool breeze was blowing when the flock of gulls flew in, using the wind to hang in place.
We enjoyed a nice bath getting all the bugs and stress off. They said, “We highly recommend taking time to de-bug. Trust us you will feel so much better.”
The ocean was churning when the sun came up bringing warmth and a rich golden glow with it.
After sunrise I ran into Mac, an elder pup and Molly a 10 week old pup. Molly said, “I look to the adults to shape my world. You may not even now us kids are watching but we are and learning from you. Mac said, ”I take my elder role seriously and do my best to be a good example for the little ones."
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Meet and Greet Saturday
Good Morning!
I wasn't able to make it to sunrise today. I ate a shrimp taco last night, it transformed me into a cross between a puffy Oompa Loompa and a strawberry.
Benadryl is working so I'll be good as new in a bit.
*************************************************************************************************************************
Meet and Greet tomorrow, March 18th.
If you are around New Smyrna Beach next Saturday my friends are hosting a meet and greet at their salon called Hair.
Since leaving The Hub on Canal Street, I am following the flow like my wildlife friends encouraged. I'll have my images in a new place for the next month.
Stop by and say hello and see some of my work in a different space. If you can't make it, I also have my work at Outriggers Tiki Bar and Grille.
I'll be at 107 N. Orange Street. Starts at 6:30PM.
Stay open even after bumps and bruises
When my feet hit the sand and saw the clouds on the horizon, I knew it was going to be one of those powerful sunrise with light rays jetting into the sky. The golden, orange glow gave us a hopeful vibe, one that felt like anything is possible.
The chatty flock of gulls flew in early and stayed for the sunrise. With a lightly warmer morning, we headed into the water for our usual bath time.
Pelican Highway traffic was flying high in the sky enjoying the thermals. Rusty, the immature brown pelican flew in with his wings and heart wide open. He said, “I recently had an injury above my left foot. It hurt and was bloody for a while but with a little rest I am healing.”
“As a young pelican, I get bumped around by life a lot, and I know keeping my heart open will help me soar. Bumps and bruises are part of of my journey, it’s up to me to stay open and loving.”
Wishing you beautiful day friends!

Focus on your strengths
Mother Nature brought us a winter kind of sunrise with a chilly wind blowing the tops of the waves, sending sparkles into the air. The pre sunrise filled with sweet and soft pastel color palette.
The flock of gulls was in their usual chatty mood bringing their message of keeping our wings and hearts open to lift us up.
When the sun came up from behind the clouds, the mood shifted to one of hope and warmth. I was captivated by the sea oats looking like hearts blooming in the golden glow.
After sunrise while standing in the lagoon, a solo dolphin was chasing breakfast when an osprey used the opportunity to grab one of the fish fleeing the dolphin.
The osprey said, “I recommend being creative in grabbing your goal. My right foot is injured but that doesn’t stop me from success. You see, I know I am strong, I just have to keep my focus on my strengths.”
From my perspective, I didn’t see the osprey coming so I was pleasantly surprised when she grabbed her fish just a few feet away. Another reminder to be open to unexpected wonderful surprises!
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Be a safe place to land for others
It was more like a winter morning with cool temperatures and wet wind. The flock of gulls flew in a later today using the wind to hang in place. We opted to skip bath time until the temperature warmed up.
The sun came up sending out a golden and amber glow bringing with it a nice hint of warmth. It made the ocean look like a mountain range in the distance.
One of the laughing gulls decided to land on the head of one of the sunrise walkers. He said, “We don’t always want to interact with Hoomans but when we do we look for people who we consider safe. We highly recommend being the safe place to land for others.”
After sunrise Eddy, Rusty and Milo the immature pelicans flew in to say hello. Eddy said, “I agree with the gull. You see, us birds can sense safe people. You can too, it’s a feeling you get. We encourage you to listen to your intuition, it’s your very own super power guiding you, all you have to do is tune in and listen.”
