Let your emotions out for new perspective

With a light breeze and warm air blowing from the north, the morning was tranquil. The huge moon was high in the sky soaking up the sunrise light.

When the sun came up from behind the clouds, golden light streamed thought filling the air with hope and peace.

The flock of gulls was late this morning but when they arrived they were full of spunk. They flew in front the moon to bring us the message today.

They said, “This is a powerful full moon to help give you new viewpoints with your life. We encourage you to step back or fly above to see people and situations from a different perspective.”

“The energy of the full moon is asking us to honor our emotions. You see, by letting your emotions out, you can have new awareness and even epiphanies.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Harness the energy of cycles

Mother Nature brought us a brisk and clear morning with a vibrant peachy orange color show. The moon was seeing as the sun came up to greet the day. To shake things up a bit, I’m including the moonrise photos from last night.

The moonrise was incredibly gorgeous and powerful. The man in the moon brings us the message of flowing with the cycles and rhythms of life.

“Just like Pelican Highway using the energy of the waves to make their flight easier, I recommend riding the being aware of cycles so you can harness the energy to the fullest.”

The flock of gulls flew in at their usual time while Skimmer Street joined the highway cruising mostly northbound looking for breakfast.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Trust your inner nudges

The huge full moon was setting over the sea oats while the sun came up behind the swirly clouds. The temperature was cool with a light salty breeze from the north.

The flow of gulls, sand pipers and skimmers flew in to enjoy hanging out. The textured waves rolling in were catching the sweet pink and golden light. Pelican highway traffic was very light today. Skimmers were thick on the highway flying both directions looking for breakfast.

The full moon brings us a message of self care. This moon is situated in the sky reminding us to honor our feelings.

It said, “You may feel your emotions heightened more than usual from a full moon. I’m here to remind you to acknowledge all of you feelings, no matter how strange. When I’m full I can illuminate your inner desires. Trust the nudges from within, no matter how subtle.”

The baby dolphin said, If the energy feels intense, take a break and play, that will help you feel lighter.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Be open to signs

As I walked to the beach I could see wispy clouds high in the sky and thought, "Wow that looks angelic.”

When I reached the beach, with a good view of the clouds I saw what looked like angel wings that morphed into the shape of a person. The person only stayed visible for about a minute, but that minute felt powerful and full of love. I posted it large and circled it - check out the last photo.

The Being in the clouds brings felt happy and at peace. S/he brings the message of being open to seeing the unseen. The signs may not come in the ways you expect.

S/he bring us the message of love, support and connection. The Being in the clouds reminds us even if we can see or feel our loved ones, they are there to support and love us.

The flock of gulls added to the message when 2 laughing gulls enjoyed a quality time together watching the sunrise.

A dolphin grabbing snacks said, "Let's play!"

Wishing you a magical day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Epic Mullet Party

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Epic Mullet Party

It’s the time of year when the “Mullet Run” which makes for great dolphin and pelican parties. I didn’t know where to point my camera, there must have been 25 dolphins at one time.

Everyone was invited! I saw Uncle Larry who is in his 40’s, Jagger, Danika, Charley, Ocean, Split fin Mom also called Echo, her calf, Momma and her 2 kiddos, Indy and River and so many more!

They were swimming in formation 3-6 dolphins wide chasing fish like a perfect synched ballet. They were even jumping out of the water side by side in perfect harmony. When they were not fishing they were resting and enjoying a few hugs.

The pelicans totally scored today too! Check out the whopper of a fish the pelican got courtesy of a dolphin chasing the fish right to him. It took him 15 minutes to swallow it, all while keeping the other pelicans away.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Deep breath and let go

Mother Nature used her swirly paint brush giving us wispy clouds to soak up the array of colors. The breeze was cool and damp which felt good in my lungs.

The flock flew in just as I arrived at the ocean. We enjoyed our usual bath time ritual. Willy the willet was walking by looking for breakfast when he stopped to take in the moment. He seemed reflective encouraging us to go within to feel more solid.

After sunrise a pelican and pigeon bring us a combo message. The pigeon has many messages but today he said, “I’m here with the pelican to say if you feel like you are stuck in a ‘pigeon hold’ then it’s time to let go.”

The pelican said, “All you have to do is relax, let your shoulders drop, take a deep breath, and when you let go imagine letting go. Once you let go, it will feel easier to fly and soar to new heights.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Show off your pearly whites

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.

Mother Nature brought us a serene sunrise with another foggy start to the day. The ocean was calm with a velvety blanket of fog soaking up the winter orange colors.

The folk of gulls flew in loud and chatty at their usual time. We enjoyed bat time in the brisk water. The gulls said, “We bathe because it’s an important part of self care and staying healthy.”

One of the herring gulls stopped to show me the sunrise through his eyes. He reminds us that although we don’t always see eye to eye, if we can see life through another, it can help bring compassion for our differences.”

After sunrise, a couple dolphin were feeling playful and sweet. They bring the message of giggles and smiles. They said, “Try smiling at people today and see what happens. Embrace your inner dolphin and show off your pearly whites.”

Going with the flow

Mother Nature brought us a nearly black and white sunrise with a thick layer of fog hanging over the shore. Perfect waves rolled in calling to the surfers to come play.

Although the fog was beautiful and serene, I decided to post a sunset baby dolphin party from a few nights ago, bringing the message of changing up our routines. It's good to break out of our habits and see what unfolds.

On this night the young dolphins were in a very festive mood! They came in the lagoon hopping out of the water and proceeded to roll around and pop out of the water for at least an hour. The adult dolphins were also joining in the playtime by tossing the kiddos in the air.

The play was infectious and unifying. People all around were laughing and ooohing and awing at the golden display of joy. The dolphins asks us to join in and spread giggles and fun.

Wishing you a day filled with spontaneous play!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Simple Pleasures

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode- Simple Pleasures

Today was such a fun day in the lagoon. So many different dolphins came in to say hello and they were in a relaxed playful mood. Today was a day of enjoying the simple pleasures.

A few babies were popping out of the water and the adults grabbed a few fish in a speedy way but for the most part they were laying around and snuggling. But the majority of the day was spent connecting and playing with leaves, mangrove propagule seeds (which look like sticks) and sticks.

This adult dolphin was playing with a lead for 5 minutes and oozing joy. I couldn’t stop giggling, it was so fun to watch the joyful interaction.

More to come, so stay tuned!

PS ~Sunday sunrise is the previous post. Sorry for the delay.

Play and laughter can shift your mood

Mother Nature started the year off with a foggy sunrise that felt extra cozy with a blanket of clouds on the horizon. The clouds soaked up the wide variety of colors. The flock of gulls flew in at their usual time for bath time and a lot of chatting.

Pelican Highway flew in front of the sun heading southbound while skimmers and willets passed by going northbound.

The haze eventually burned off reminding us the light will burn through the fog so we can have clarity.

After sunrise, several pod of dolphins came in the play and relax. The morning started with Daniko, he was loving hanging out close when he wasn’t grabbing breakfast. He came in and out several times throughout the day. When he leaned back he said, “Relaxing is a great way to start the year. Get your batteries charged and ready.”

Several moms stopped in with their kiddos who were really feeling playful. One baby played with a mangrove propagule for 15 minutes. He was having such a good time, I swear I could hear him giggling. He said, “Us dolphins know how to play. You see, laughing and play can shift your mood and make you feel better. “

Wishing you a playful day friends!

Get close and show off your boo boo’s

Mother Nature brought us a quiet and serene sunrise. With low tide the beauty was doubled with a heart expansive reflection.

Fog rolled in just before the sunrise adding to the cozy tranquility. The absence of noise except for birds chirping and waves rolling in was incredibly grounding and peaceful. The sun came up enveloped in the fog keeping the light low and sweet.

3 seagulls were enjoying hanging out in the quiet bring us a message of review. They said, “We recommend taking a few minutes to go within and see you and your year in reflection. As you review your year, we encourage compassion and love for yourself.

Hook, One Legger and Split Foot were extra engaging. They said, “We are here to remind you to be authentic. Go ahead, it’s safe to get close and show off your boo boo’s. Join us in celebrating all of who we are.” The seagull photos were taken with my wide angle lens.

And if that wasn’t enough, I saw Pip the Pelican on the highway for the first time! I was SO excited to see him all grown up, flying on the highway. What a wonderful way to close out the year, celebrating his success.

Wishing you a year filled with so much love friends!

Embrace your inner dog with unconditional love

It was such a gorgeous morning I stayed to hang out soaking up the majestic beauty. The flock of gulls flew in at their usual time to share the beautiful start to the day.

As the sun came up it looked like an angel or phoenix rising formed between the clouds. Sun beams jetted out into the sky filling the air with a powerful and moving vibe.

Pelican Highway was jamming, sharing the road with skimmers and oyster catchers. A few pelicans took the exit for the rest stop to enjoy hanging out in the tide pool. They said, “We bring the message of knowing when to take a time out and rest. Rest is an important part of our healthy immune system.”

After sunrise I saw my favorite commercial fisherman and his pack of pups. His pups are incredibly sweet and excellent boat dogs.

They said, “We bring the message of unconditional love and loyalty. We encourage you to be gentle and kind with yourself and others. If you are feeling blue, we find cuddling with your pack makes everything feel better.”

Wishing you a wonderful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Amazing Sunset Dolphin Party!   PART ONE

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Amazing Sunset Dolphin Party!   PART ONE

The party started when Momma and her youngin’ River along with Momma Split Fin and her kiddo.  My new 9 year old friend from New Zealand named the split fin mom Echo and her kiddo Flippers, which turned out to be the perfect name!  He loves to flip!

As soon as they were close the kiddos were leaping out of the water and rolling around with their moms.  After a bit or hugging, the moms went to relax in the shallow water while the kiddos played more, flying and splashing, having the best time.

As the kiddos jumped out of the water, people all around could be heart saying OOOOH..… AHHHHHHH. What fun it was!

A while later a few male dolphins, Charley and M joined the fun. When the commercial fishermen arrived, tossing nets near by a feeding frenzy began!

Stay tuned for More from the sunset party!

Stay the course, hone your skills

Ahhhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a reflective sunrise with warmer temperatures and lovely clouds on the horizon. She used her pastel color palette again today adding in a little lavender to the pink and bluesy theme.

The flock of gulls were very spontaneous, darting off and back several times. They bring the message of being spontaneous, be open to taking action when you feel inspired.

After sunrise I was so relieved to see Patches the pelican. I haven’t seen her since the freeze. She and Eddy were flying together like a perfect ballet couple. They were diving for breakfast bringing us a message.

They said, “We dive a lot for fish, but don’t always catch one. We bring the message of going after your goal with a flock mate. We want to remind you, sometimes you have to dive several times before grabbing your fish.”

“We are here to remind you to stay the course, even when you are frustrated. We think of the attempt as practice, we are honing our skills and the bonus is the splashes make beautiful art.”

Wishing you a beautkulf day friends!

PS~. If anyone knows the family honoring their beloved on the beach this morning at sunrise…I took a photo I’d like to gift them, but don’t know how to reach them. Thank you!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sunset Party with Snook and Mullet.

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sunset Party with Snook and Mullet.

These photos re from the epic holiday party at sunset a few nights ago. Several pod of dolphin came in the lagoon for love, play and good food. It’s the time of year when the mullet are abundant but the cold added snook to the menu this year.

The cold weather is hard on a a lot of wildlife including snook. A fisherman told me the snook can’t handle the cold water so they are huddled in huge numbers under the dock where the dolphin come in.

When the dolphin were not flying out of the water or hugging they were grabbing snacks with pure joy. It’s as if they were celebrating the fish and giving thanks for the feast.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Compassion can go a long way

Yipppeeeeeeee! The sun was back, large and bringing warmth. The temperatures are warming up but the wind is still chilly from the north and blowing the tops of the waves.

The flock of gulls flew in wings and hearts open celebrating the big ball of light. They said, “We recommend keeping your wings open to soak up the warmth.” One Legger was hanging out letting us know she is ok.

Pelican Highway exited the highway, flying straight for the sun as it was coming up.

After sunrise I ran into a little lizard who was slightly frozen. I gave Lil lizzie my hand warmer and she hugged like a pillow. Truly a heart melting moment.

Lizzie said, “I bring the message of compassion for yourself and each other. Just a little compassion can go a long way.”

She went on to say, “Generally speaking lizards remind us to be honest with ourselves. Look for areas we may be deceiving ourselves. You see, honesty is a way to free your heart, which feels amazing!"

Wishing you a day filled with compassionate connections!

Break out of routines

Mother Nature brought us another bluesy sunrise with cool temperatures and a brisk breeze.

The flock of gulls flew in at their usual time to hang out. A pelican who wasn’t feeling very well joined in the flock to keep warm.

I missed photographing the sunrise to check on the pelican. He said he didn’t want help at this time, that he just needed to thaw out.

He brings us the message of being flexible, it’s good to break out of our routines to see what unfolds. He said, “Let go of how you think should be and follow the flow.”

In honor of the flow I’m posting 2 sunrise photos from last year this day and a joyful dolphin series at sunset from this week who bring the message of spontaneous play!

Wishing you a joyful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Best Holiday Party Ever!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Best Holiday Party Ever!

Yesterday I spent the day with several dolphins.  The day started with Momma who has a split dorsal fin and her kiddo.  They were alone for quite a while before the other moms and their calves came in followed by another pod of dolphin.

At one point there was around 12 dolphin grabbing snacks, hugging and rolling around.  It wasn’t until late afternoon that the real fun started.  It started with you a younger dolphin popping out of the water with the assist of an adult.

Well, that must have inspired something because they all started flying out of the water and I swear they were laughing and giggling, having so much fun.

Then they started chasing fish.  I’m sorry to tell my fisher friends that snook was on the menu.  They grabbed 4 snook in about 20 minutes which inspired more play and celebration.

Stay tuned for more tales,  more to share form the party!

Flock together to thrive and survive

Mother Nature used her moody blues and pretty in pink color palette this morning. With wind, moisture and cool temperatures, it was a bit chilly.

The flock of gulls were already waiting when I reached the water’s edge. They were huddled together for warmth. A flock of skimmers in tight formation flew by on their way to breakfast.

Tiger the Heermann’s gull from Baja was in the flock of laughing gulls along with a few herring gulls, a few ruddy turnstones and sand pipers. They bring us the message this morning of community.

They said, “We are all a little different but we find when we flock together we have something in common, survival. We know we are stronger together. Together, we can stay warm and safe. When we fly as a group, we help to carry each other while making our work load feel lighter.”

A shout out to my internet company who was at the gate before sunrise to thaw and restore the frozen internet! THANK YOU!

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
