Filter out what you don’t need

Ahhhhh… good morning.

The sand was still wet from yesterday’s rain,

and the ocean looked more like a calm lake…

soft, fluffy clouds drifting in from the west.

A mix of ruddy turnstones, laughing gulls, and a solo herring gull

were busy with breakfast and getting squeaky clean.

As the sun came up, the clouds hovered over the ocean like a cozy blanket, soaking up the early morning glow.

After sunrise, I came across a solo spoonbill.

She paused for a moment and said,

“Trust your senses…

feel your way forward.

My bill filters out what I don’t need—

a gentle reminder to let go of what doesn’t serve you,

and keep what supports your heart’s desires.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends
