Be easy on yourself as you learn
Ahhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a calm and soothing sunrise. Just a light layer of salty fog today with a flat ocean adding to the serene vibe.
A dolphin glided quietly through the golden orange water, its dorsal fin tracing a soft line across the glowing surface like a brushstroke of morning light.
After sunrise an immature (young) yellow-crowned night heron surprised me by hopping up on the seawall just as Spot flew in with mating colors! Spotty Spot is looking good!
The young yellow-crowned night heron said, “Did you know we eat crabs whole, even the shell? We hunt by standing still for long periods of time. I am young so I am still learning patience and how to trust the subtle cues in my environment. I know to be easy on myself, learning takes time.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
