BE Curious
The quiet was palpable when I reached the ocean. A calm sea, the absence of a breeze, and glassy, reflective sand offered us a serene start to the day.
Subtle rays of white light jetted from behind a low cloud on the horizon. Eventually, the sun emerged, bringing with it golden warmth and soft illumination.
As I photographed Trudy and Tux—our beloved laughing gull lovebirds—I heard the familiar bark of a black skimmer! I’ve also noticed a young laughing gull observing Trudy and Tux this week. She seems curious, intently watching the two lovebirds. This morning, she said, “I’m here to remind you to be curious as a way to learn.”
Pelican Highway looked especially stunning today, a graceful line of birds gliding southbound above the caramel-colored waves. They shared, “As the waves come, use them to carry you forward. You’ll know when they arrive, because you’ll feel ease in the momentum.”
PS~. If you loved the names Lovey and Dovey, not to worry, I have a Dove couple who will love the names. Stay tuned.....
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
